well, if this is the case, i'd like to amend my list and add a sovereign class starship (a la the uss enterprise 1701e) and a deathstar, fully manned and stocked. We can put that under 'family' and 'utility'.
Throw in princess leia in her slave girl regalia and queen amidala in white jumpsuit and we'll call it a day...

Exotic Car: NSX
Family Car: E39 wagon, M sport package and an LS7 + 6MT
Daily Driver: CL-S (I already own it, its worth nothing and I owe nothing )
Weekend fun: Caterham Se7en, '88 Honda NT650 (already own) '08 Triumph Daytona (already own)
Wild card: Something old, very light, with a rotary swap. Maybe a Sprite or MG Midget?
I've talked about the E39 + LS swap in the past. I think it would be sick, especially in the wagon. I purposely left out a minivan/SUV, because thats what the E39 is for. It can tow the two bikes without a problem. I can see myself owning at least one of those (that I dont already own) in the next 5-10 years. Ideally, within 2.

I think 100K is a pretty nice budget for a supercar....and why not a new GTR than a used Ferrari....

Because I have passion for Ferrari's. I just don't feel anything towards the GTR. Sure it's fast and technologically advanced, but it will never be in the same class as a Ferrari (or any Italian car) in terms of aesthetics.
For me, form over function always.

FWIW, those 'realistically' thinking about an older Ferrari have to factor in maintenance costs. You could probably rent a Ferrari for a little while and feel pretty good about yourself for the price of some of those regular maintenance items.
Realistically, an NSX, Porsche, Viper, or C6 or C7 Corvette might be easier to maintain.
I love Ferrari too, but I also love my money.

Sure, add that one to the list too.
Point being, if we think realistic ownership, we have to think about real maintenance too. Even if you don't do it yourself, you have to think about how much you'll be paying someone to do so.

Sundays - Gallardo or F430 (Havent drove an F430 yet to compare against the few Gallardos I have driven)
Daily/Family - Range Rover full size or MB G550
Wife - 3 series sedan (she sucks at driving )
Current -
Sundays - AM Vantage
Daily - 08 GC Laredo
Thinking about moving to a GT Coupe in next couple of years prior to a true sports car...
