De-modded my Legend's custom center caps

I was washing my car and my custom center cap partially fell off, revealing the OEM one it was glued to. After heavy hand polishing and removing glue, this is what I have:

Compared to:

More pics:

Caps removed, glue still attached, center cap bent back to its original shape:

Glue removed:

Goo Gone'd:

Chillin' in the sink:

After:

The old caps (bent back to their original shape):

And, slightly off topic, my new silver grille emblem, which replaced my gold emblem:

OEM. Very nice.

I still cringe every time I see gold-plated stuff on cars like that.

OEM!

Cars are almost classic. Shouldn't put anything else on them imho.

OEM.
IMO, gold trim doesn't enhance the aesthetics of OP's car either.

I've already begun switching to silver trim. I replaced the gold grille emblem with silver and now all of the gold wheel emblems are gone, so now I just need to get the rear emblems to finish it off.

OEM by far.
It'd be interesting to see the acura label in chrome/silver though. Might change my mind. The gold though is just .

Looks like we're not alone in preferring the OEM trim over the gold package.

I was thinking it might look okay if the Acura logo was in gun metal. But, they took almost 2 hours to get them to the way they are now, so I'm done experimenting.
