A day with a G6
A couple of weeks ago I had a thread about how much I hated the G6.
Well yesterday, I took my car into the BMW dealership to get something looked at. They had a 330i with only 1500 miles ready for me. And then she asked "Are you over 25?"
So, now I'm stuck with the G6 for a few days. Well first of all, it's a better car than the Gallant I got when I got the tranny replced in the CL-S. The pick up isn't bad for such a cheap car, but I expected more from a 3.5L V6. Anyway, the car is really a POS, to say the least. The interior is amazingly teenish. I always hated some of these chrome Pontiac gauges. It makes the GTO interior look like an SL600. I think the exterior is butt ugly too.
I love driving loaners for a few days, it really makes me appreciate my car a lot more.

I agree with your G6 review.
I got one as a rental last weekend, didn't want to put 4000km on my TSX.
Engine - couldn't beleive this was a v6. Acceralation was not nearly as good as I'd hoped. Was very slow to respond to the gas pedal (could have been automatic transmission setup) cruised at about 2000 rpms (seemed really low to me)
Interior - fugly... fake chrome accents and terrible styling. Seating was terrible, really made me appreciate the lumbar support on my TSX
Pros - This thing was good on gas! averaged about 7L/100km (34miles/gallon). The trip computer was nice. Allowed you to see what your average speed was, gas mileage, and how much further you could go with the remaining fuel.
All in all, it was an okay car but not something I would ever consider buying

But seriously....switch your dealer

No idea, but the chick who drove it over to the BMW dealership wasn't bad looking either.
She said "I have the same problem when I need a loaner, they won't give it to me because I'm not old enough"

I had the same problem when I was under 25. They tried to pull that shit on me and even showed me in the manual where it said so. But the line underneath said it was OK if the driver was over 21 and the registered owner, which I was.
Ask to see it in writing.

Can't wait to get my car back today. The only thing im impressed with is the gas milage. I just put $20 in the tank and it went 3/4 way up. $20 would last me probably a couple of days in the BMW.

My Honda/VW dealer uses Enterprise. But I always thought that the luxo brands had their own loaners thus the car's that say loaner on it.

I think it's a pretty nice looking car compared to the car that it replaced, the Grand Am.... I think they did a decent job with it overall, with the exception of the 3.5 V6 that should, but couldn't, for some reason.

never driven the 3.5 V6, but it replaces the old 3.4L which is totally a POS except gd mileage
i got my uncle's montana to toy with and the 3.4L sucks shit in everything, i wish i still have my Buick Regal with the 3.8L, it's so powerful
