Dale Vince's "Wind Powered" Car finally hits the road

Anybody else been following this? They finally got it out on the road and it appears to be working quite well. The sound of the car is awesome, almost like a jet.

"Is it a Nemesis?

It finally happened. Last Monday on a windswept old airfield in Norfolk, we got the wind car out of the workshop and took it for its first spin on tarmac.

Not entirely without a little drama mind you – the car barely being able to climb the transporter loading ramp at full throttle was a challenging start to the day… but we quickly enough adjusted the bugs out of that and it flew, really flew."

I'd be more impressed if the car was made by wind.

I would have been more impressed if the even remotely alluded to how it was wind powered in the video.

it ain't, its just an EV but he's saying he's gonna use his wind turbines to re-charge the batteries.

So this is basically a DIY Tesla - with all the R&D costs they probably could have bought a few Tesla's and tweaked them to meet their needs.

I think this now falls into the category of "just because you can, doesn't mean you should."

its a cool concept, wind turbines on the front recharge batteries when you move.. the only issue i see with this is traffic problems..
