Hi! I was wondering if ziners have tried this JDM product? How long does it last? Amazon got pretty good reviews for it. Do you guys recommend any other air freshener? I hate liquid air freshener because it jacked up my cars interior. here's the link to the product.

i've had that for a while. it lasts a month or so. you can also buy "refills" to replace the scent. i slapped that on the center of my dashboard (it comes with two sticky pads that you can use).

but i've moved on to this product:

it's the same scent, it's much bigger so i place this on the bottom of the passenger seats or just in the side compartment of the doors. mine has lasted me at least 3 months with the windows closed most of the time. if you're looking for something a little more compact, then go with the one that you found on ebay. scent-wise, squash is a popular scent for a lot of people and those who have sat in my car never had anything bad to say about it.

There are a lot of different brands out there. The CS-X3 just doesn't last long enough. I use Treefrog Marine Squash, got it from the dealership.

With the Air Spencer, I've noticed that if you keep the car out of the sun/heat it will last much longer. That's how I get up to 3 months out of those. And even after 3 months they still release a slight scent. It's just not as noticeable since you get used to it but friends I see once a month or so can still smell it after 3 months.

Had these years ago in my old Civic, i moved and unboxed all my old parts and found this... it still lets off a bit of a scent...

so i bought a replacement setup for my RL.

I have been using Cs-x3 air spencer squash air freshener for years and i highly recommend them! Like everyone said they last about a month but they smell great but i think it is worth it.

you only tried the light squash? I wonder how the neo squash is compared to the light squash.

if there's an Asian stationary store / gift shop nearby, they tend to have all the car freshener samples open so that you have an idea of what they smell like before you purchase one. try checking out asian markets or places that are heavily populated by asians. i live in socal so that's not too difficult for me. also, buy these online. it's roughly 12-14 bucks at the stores, which is too much imo.

but to answer your question, yes i've only tried light squash. i've smelled neo squash at the stores before and personally, i like the light squash over the neo squash.

Keep your car clean, and you don't need an air freshener.

clean cars can have car fresheners. i don't use it as a way to cover up bad odors since i keep my car clean inside and out. and fwiw, i wouldn't say that these car fresheners have an overpowering scent like the ones that are shaped like a pine tree. i use it because i like the way the squash car fresheners smell.
