Based on the night pics, it doesn't seem that bad. Probably no more than $4k in damage as long as there is no suspension/frame or engine damage.

Also, how the heck did someone hit you head on by running a red light? Isn't it usually a T-Bone situation or such.

I just recently got into a rear end accident in my 2001 CL-S with 163k miles on it and the damage was $6,500. Obviously I thought they were going to trash it but they decided to fix it. I actually didn't mind the fix because it was all cosmetic damage and I knew I couldnt have found another car for that price that was as good as my CL-S.

The adjuster said the only reason they fixed it is because how clean the car looked, they actually called me to make sure the odometer was right and that the car had 163k miles on it.

Why is the car worth 6k? Insurance estimates of cars are different than the private party amount.

The insurance companies would probably use a base of $8-$9,000 as the base for totaling out this vehicle and not $6k. As soon as damages approached the 60% range they would start using the cost benefit analysis.

his accident is more like a total loss. I ended up having a frontal accident just like his, except my air bags did NOT deploy. That is about 6 to 7 grand in damage.

That sucks.

His or yours?

If it's his company dragging their feet and it is 1000000% his fault I'd be all over them to pay before I get more severe back spasims

They are paying for your rental aren't they?

Fantastic looking car, but I see something wrong with the picture.

A g35 coupe and the white stuff.

My sister use to have one and tried driving it in the winter with the freaking summer tires on, the thing was absolutely useless in 1/2" of snow, like a big sled.

Be careful, especially if you don't have experience with RWD cars in the snow because things can go south with the slightest fishtail.

I honestly would take it to a wide open lot and practice recovering from a fishtail in snowy conditions.

But once again, a very very sharp looking car. Congrats
