Aaaaand I'm back with the Acura family!

2011 RL with the rarest of rare exterior/interior combos. Owned by snowbirds, all maintainence is current with full records. It's in solid shape.

CR-Z unfortunately just wasn't practical enough for multiple humans.

xc1097 08-16-2018 05:18 PM

congrats on RL
I was looking for 2012 RL Advanced but couldn't find decent deal.
I do not like any of new Honda/Acura products including the Type-R & NSX

Sarlacc 08-17-2018 12:56 AM

So all the work and supercharging, etc and you got rid of it?

For that???

Ken..bro...dawg....dude....dudebro...You gotta get out there and look at some other options. Expand your horizons.

I was thinking the same thing. Why would you modify a car like that and get rid of it a few months later. But his single now so he needs more room to give out rides.

CCColtsicehockey 08-17-2018 07:38 AM

What? I am with you both. I can't believe you would do all that awesome work to the CR-Z and get rid of it so fast.

Legend2TL 08-17-2018 08:41 AM

Beautiful color combination and amazing condition.
Congrats!

justnspace 08-17-2018 08:49 AM

The Legend; when you absolutely need four doors for more whores.

It's paid for, fits people and does what I need

I'm not single these days ;)

This...

All without offering it to people on here nonetheless.

Just like you moved to AZ to try new places and new things...you need to look beyond the worn out A and H. Even if you come back to them in the end.

If you're happy awesome. I just can not say one nice thing about that RL. I remember sitting in it at the auto however many years ago when it debuted...and I hated everything about it. inside, outside, everything.

:werd: I hope you didn't just trade it in on the RL and actually got some good money for it.

Ken1997TL 08-17-2018 10:11 AM

I did fine :)

Show me another vehicle in good condition with this level of comfort, tech and reliability for under $10K

Legend2TL 08-17-2018 10:14 AM

^ plenty of good 2G's on Baltimore/DC CL in the $5-7k range

If I didn't like driving my 05 TL 6MT so much I'd get one.

RPhilMan1 08-17-2018 01:23 PM

Oh... wow. What a change. Very abrupt but hope it serves you well.

Sad to see the sporty turbo 6MT go.

mrrobato 08-17-2018 02:58 PM

Gorgeous ride! I've lusted after the 2G since it came out. Congratulations on a great find.

Costco 08-17-2018 03:00 PM

CRZ to RL?

:rona:

TacoBello 08-17-2018 03:08 PM

Man, you should have just kept the CR-Z as a fun toy...

Nowhere to keep it though

majin ssj eric 08-18-2018 09:22 PM

I dunno what all these guys are whining about? That RL looks fantastic and is a much better car overall than the CR-Z, no matter what mods it had. Looks mint too, congrats!!! :D

neuronbob 08-18-2018 09:25 PM

2G RL FTW. I do miss mine a little with its crackling 5Zigen exhaust.

HDNBenjamin 08-19-2018 02:18 AM

We have the same combination of AP2 and 2G RL, except your RL is newer lol. It's a good car..reliable, comfortable, luxuarious minus the outdated tech and shawd. hard to beat for the price! you did well.

KaMLuNg 08-21-2018 07:46 AM

under 10k?! that's a damn steal!!! where did you find that?

rockstar143 08-21-2018 08:05 AM

Yeah, I was like wtf...then you said under 10K and I was like maninja.jpg...
but then I was like wait, under 10k living in that neighborhood and turbo'ing a car recently...he can afford to have kept them both or ALL.
Please tell me you at least salvaged the turbo kit to slap on the S2000...that would make sense!

I don't love the RL, but that said, I can appreciate that it's the high end of what Acura has to offer and is probably very relaxed to drive around.

Craigslist!! :what:

I was incredibly skeptical, especially the clean appearance in photos and the rare color combo. All maintenance was done at a local Acura dealer all the way back to the beginning including the dreaded timing belt. The 2011/12's are very reliable, the bugs were basically worked out by then. They also have the 6 speed auto, more sound deadening etc. The only thing I can really find wrong with it are the shocks. I'll need to replace those or maybe do some coilovers. I'm thinking Tein Flex Z's.

It's nice having NO car payment.

rockstar143 08-21-2018 12:37 PM

Shit yes, that's nice...
I didn't realize the CRZ wasn't paid off.
Fuck it, you enjoy, you move on as needs change. Good call.
Plus, harder to fuck in the CRZ with your new lady friend.
Always thinking! And they call me the dumb rockstar...:tomato:

Aman 08-21-2018 03:39 PM

 I think you made the right decision keeping the S2k instead of the CR-Z. And I am actually a fan of the RL (after sitting in one).

gatrhumpy 08-21-2018 05:45 PM

No car payment FTW!

oonowindoo 08-23-2018 01:28 PM

Congrats, as long as you are happy with it...

I would have said something very different if you didn't still have your S2k.... as long as you have that... it doesnt really what your 2nd car is :D

I just hope dont see something like in 6 months - I got rid of the s2k and the RL for a 2016 RLX....

rockstar143 08-23-2018 01:32 PM

Great...you just planted the seed!

S2000 stays. No negotiation.

rockstar143 08-23-2018 01:36 PM

Same here...
I wish I lived near curvy roads though...
but I am still in love with mine too.

Ken1997TL 08-23-2018 01:38 PM

I love the roads here in Arizona. Oregon's back roads were nice but usually clogged up some hag in a Prius

rockstar143 08-23-2018 01:45 PM

probably my mom or something, amirite?

rockstar143 08-23-2018 01:47 PM

Interested in taking the S2000 on some out of town curvy roads that are super-fun?

rockstar143 08-23-2018 02:55 PM

Dude, you're 2 guys on a car forum pretending to like women...
what could go wrong?

Shiettt...if you asked me that, Tim...the hardest decision would be WHICH car to take :rockstar:
Fuck I wish I had some cool roads to drive on...Florida too flat...Florida too straight...

Why yes I am

So far I've been to Jerome and Payson in the S2000.
