Anyone fills up over at Costco gas stations? How is the gas quality compared to some other brands like chevron, shell or 76? Any bad experience?

 

Yes- about half of our fill-ups with the TL (supreme) and a 2004 Odyssey (regular) are at Costco since each vehicle was new, while the rest are mostly at Arco AM/PM and Chevron.

We have not seen any difference in performance between tanks and have not had any bad experiences with any gas, but the cars are all run as grocery-getter commute cars-- no autocrosses and minimal, if any, WOT (I don't think my wife is with any vehicle).

I fill up every other day, so I think I'll be saving quiet a bit because gas is about 20 cents cheaper than shell and chevron and around 10~12 cents cheaper than 76 and other stations around here.

 

I stick to Top Tier Gas for my Acura, but I'll put basically anything in my Cherokee's inline six... I wish the CostCo near me had a gas station.

 

Do a search here in Car Talk... tons of topics discussing gas. The general consensus... gas is gas and it all comes pretty much from the same place and is processed similarly.
