Congrats on the new car. The 3G TL design is great and will never get old. Welcome back to Acura.

ATF is very easy to change, but the fill/drain bolts can be a little hard to find and loosen the first time around.

Well I have been meaning to ask if I can get wheels with a +25 offset to fit on my car.

I think I will probably still be more on the Ramblingzine side of things.

I'll look into it but I suspect that I will pay someone to change it.

I got to where I could do oil, brakes, plugs and exhaust on the Infiniti. I'll try to make sure I can do the same on the TL. Transmission I try to leave alone especially after the glass transmission I had on the CL.

Honestly I would if I really felt like there was something out there worth the investment.

Only three cars I'm excited about, one they don't make anymore (G8 GT/GXP), one is really not a financially smart decision (CTS-V), and one is just not practical right now (C6 vert...a.k.a cougarmobile).

Other than minor issues with my car, I still love getting in it every day.
Probably going to do some cosmetic work to it (new front bumper), paint hood, and I should be good for another 100K miles.

Negative camber, cut the fender tabs, roll the fenders and you're good to go

I would do the same. The Infiniti was getting to be more than cosmetic for the miles I drive.

And after posting that reply along with a hundred times I just stopped posting in the CL section. And there were guys there that knew a hell of a lot more than I did.

Congrats Ravi! I've been so busy with my own car purchase I missed yours.

All the best luck with the TL. I would have probably bought one myself if I could have found one with a 6mt. I'm sure the auto is still a blast to drive, though.

PS...congrats...Carbon Bronze? That's my favorite color. AND mostly in a time of paying four and a quarter per gal...that you just upped your mpg by 6. Very nice. The TL is truly a jack of all trades.
I haven't done a mod on my CL for the last 3 years because frankly trying to turn a front wheel drive boat into something fast isn't worth the money, thinking about getting a is300 to mod though.

Ravi, congrats on your purchase and welcome to the 3G TL club

If you can change the oil on your car, then you can change the ATF on the 3G TL! The service manual scans and a DIY are posted in the 3G TL service dept. along with all the torque specs and oil quantities.

Okay now. Lets start convincing him to mod his car.

You will get better gas mileage with the CAI, so you should definitely get it right away.

If your car doesn't already have it, get some tint on the windows. It will help keep the interior of the car cooler in the summer and it looks suh-weet!

CAI won't give better MPG, it more for sound and maybe 1-2HP with sightly better air flow...

The J-pipe is probably one of the best bang for your buck products for the TL. It improves power everywhere and as much as 25HP in the midrange! I'll probably end up getting one when I'm bored one day

Tint is always a good option! Just don't go with metallic tint on our cars!

I have to get tint for my Accord. Did it for my wife's Civic, and it looks great. Tough to swallow the $200 right now though.
