Whoops...I guess last time I got rammed, I tried to erase it from my memory and it all got jumbled. Happens when you're over 30 years old.

^^^

funny someone on FB posted this yesterday:

A single sperm has 37.5MB of DNA Information in it. A normal ejaculation represents a data of 1587GB (which is ~1.5TB)

haha....

EDIT: I dont vouch for that person and hence the info...dont come back telling me your ejaculation only has 4MB of data....

Nice shots Tyler! I just wish I vacuumed the interior out. Oh well.

I really dont have any updates for the car. Its been in the garage since the 16th, Ive been driving the CL since winter finally decided to show up.

But the 16th happened to be the 7 month anniversary for the car:

No issues thus far, Im still loving it.

I've decided to do something a bit different, at least compared to the CL. I am not going to do serious mods until the car is paid off. I want to buy a house in a few years, so the quicker I can pay off the FR-S, the better. That will also provide an extra year or two for testing of turbo kits so I can see how this engine can really handle boost.

Besides, its so much fun to drive even with its low power rating.

This is the best new car there is for the amount of joy per dollar you get from it.

I agree. $24k + $1k in good tires = Handling that will rival cars 3 times its price.

^^^ Morgan, your car (FRS) makes me almost bring my TL back to stock and buy an FRS where I can really enjoy the handling....recently I have been talking to Matt (IHC) a lot about chassis stiffening so I can really throw her into the curves....

I think you are making the right choice with the car....depending on the interest rate of the car, I would either pay her off really quick (anything upwards of 5% APR) or just save for a house and buy a house and pay the car off per schedule....the reason I say that is because the housing market interest rates wont stay this low for the next 2-3 years....prolly for another year at the most....and if you the housing market % goes up, you will end up paying for atleast 2-3 FRS's off over the term of the mortgage....

You make a good point Anil, as my interest rate is 2.4%. But, I still want to pay it down a good bit more (Ive got just about 1/2 the car paid off), that way its one less payment I have to worry about.

And tbh, I dont see the market recovering that soon, but I hope to buy in the next 5 years.

Morgan, I bet you might have thought about all the scenarios....am not talking about market recovery am talking about interest rates going slightly higher....

we closed at 3.375% (I think that was flat bottom that the market was sitting at and we just got lucky)....now the same rates are constant between 3.5 and 3.75%.....

just to put things in perspective:

Loan of 200,000 @ 3.375% for 30 years = $884.19/month and total of $318,308.4

Loan of 200,000 @ 3.75% for 30 years = $926.23/month and total of $333,442.8

Loan of 200,000 @ 4.25% for 30 years = $1475.82/month and total of $531,295.2

even if you lock in 3.75%, you are paying 15K more over the term....that the price for a body kit and a turbo

i know you know your financial situation better than I do, but I just wanted to give you a friendly push towards buying a house . If I were you, I would pay minimum payment to the car as that is a fantastic rate, start saving up and do some house hunting and close in 6-7 months....you might still get a rate around 3.5%-3.75%, hoping they wont go up (...and judging by your interest rate on the car, you will qualify for a very good interest rate on your mortgage)

I don't know how old Morgan is but I can say if we are not 100% on an area then don't buy a house. I mean 100% locked in, never gonna move.

Because once you sign on the line for the house you don't know if you will ever be able to sell it when you want to take advantage of another opportunity.

I was ready to sign two years ago on a house I fell in love with. But my father, who has been in four cities in 15 years, buying a house in each, talked me out of. Truth is, Im not 100% set on staying in VA. Because of that and the thought of possibly changing careers, I dont want to saddle myself with a mortgage payment and lock myself in. Im afraid of commitment enough as it is

PS - the age listed is accurate.

which Accord exactly?

For some reason I want a new Accord. If only the sedan came in a V6 + 6MT combo. But I'd be okay with the 4-cyl as a daily. It's the most practical choice... maybe I'm getting old.

That was a thought in the back of my head, but I didnt want to put all my eggs in one basket.

The redeeming factor about the area Im in is there are many military bases near by so I could always rent out to a military family. But again, I didnt want to bank on it.

I agree with the above response....get a house where you are sure to settle down....but then again, when the market gets better (4-5 years) you might get more for the house and will be able to sell it quickly....

/home talk

am eager to see the accord you pick....is it an Automatic

I was kidding. I thought that all my posts in your house thread about how much I wish I could have a house like that would have made it abundantly clear. Guess not?
