Inside Line Pulled 1.0g

With just a wheel and tire swap, they pulled 1g on the skidpad and over 70mph in the slalom

I'd rather Morgan's avatars be on the creepy/strange side than the, "Dammit, I can't look at your posts without being turned on" side.

I could make that sound more suggestive...."Dammit, I can't look at your post without being turned on!"

Id say about $6k for a similar setup. I dont like their setup though. Its seems inefficient.

They use the stock header and put the turbo in the over pipe. The stock header is garbage. With a proper header and better plumbing throughout, they can make that power on less boost.

Less boost = less stress

Agreed, I thought 20psi was high for the stock longblock. And headers wouldn't be difficult to change out... wonder why they did that.

Ease of fabrication, plus they were first to market.

Their kit is stupid expensive for what you get. $5k for the base kit, youll see about 280whp out of 8psi.

I think a kit with good scavenging and the proper turbo could hit that on 5psi. 300+ on 8. Thats just what I think though, we'll see what others come up with.

Tell that to the S2k guys running 700whp on the stock block.

You can run a lot of power on stock internals, its all in the tuning and how the turbo kit is built. I dont see this car running 700whp like the S2k guys, but I think 4-500whp is perfectly reasonable on a stock block - even with the high compression. The direct injection really helps too.

Plus, these high power cars that are out there right now are shop cars. Theyre bumping up the boost to test their kits and the engine. Im fine with it, Id love to see when the motor decides to let go and after how many miles. That way I can set my goals accordingly. If I boost, I do not want to build the engine.

Sweat my ass off this afternoon fixing the exhaust. Somehow, when SRT reinstalled the mid-pipe after replacing the resonator, they installed it clocked a bit too much. That caused the midpipe to pop out of the hanger right before the diff and pushed the rear section of the exhaust to the left. In doing so, the passenger side tip contacted the diffuser and melted it slightly

It took a bit of messing with it, but I managed to get it aligned again. It seems as though they welded it back up slightly crooked. We'll see if my fix sticks. If it doesnt, Ill be contacting them for a fix.

Also detailed the interior. I hate cloth seats. Theyre a pain in the ass to get lint free.

But I 303'd everything and vacuumed the interior/trunk so now its nice and clean. I was going to wash/wax it afterwards but a storm rolled through. The paint was too hot anyway, so Ill just wash it in the AM.
