If I were to throw some rods and pistons into my motor, over 500whp and high 400wtq is easy. But...priorities

It should still be pretty fun with the EQT, though I wish there were more ball bearing options for us.
If we are talking the used market, then APR kit would be the best. When buying new, EQT is the best bang for buck. Whichever you get your hands on, both are great options.

Agreed - but a used APR kit is twice (!!!) the price of a new EQT turbo. The kit I was looking at (and tbh, I'm still entertaining it) is $4200 from a reputable shop. It has about 600 miles on it. I'd have to plunk down another $425 since it's missing the APR mid pipe (only the upper portion of the downpipe is included). My IE catted downpipe won't work with it, but I can probably sell it for ~$600. It's a $6k kit new, so it really isn't a terrible price for what it is, but it's still a lot of money to drop on the car when I want to do some landscaping at the house lol

PB's planning on getting the Littco turbo way before I upgrade mine, so he'd beat me

With the right suspension and tire setup, there's a few GTIs cutting 1.6-1.8 60ft times - which is absurd for FWD

But yeah, on the street I should get a jump on him.

These cars with a manual are not that easy to launch compared to a DSG. With the right set of tires on my car and him fucking up a little bit, it could be close from a dig.

Very true. However, I do have launch control (which builds about 8psi) and no lift shifting enabled

Unfortunately I've yet to find anyone selling wheels I actually want at a price worth buying used. The people who are selling used wheels that I want are selling for like $100 less than brand new.

Agreed. There are some lightweight Konigs that I wouldn't mind as throwaway wheels (aka winter wheels), but when they're $230 each new, and someone is asking $800 for them used, I just want to hit them upside their head. That shit's dumb.

The used market is shit these days. Back in the day, I was buying and selling used parts for 50% new cost. Now people are asking the same price you pay from a vendor when it's on sale.
