I got you Morgan...yeah, I think long and hard before dropping that cash too. Actually it's priced EXACTLY as much as I paid for my RSX-S in 05. Not bad considering similar power, RWD and 100 bucks today is not the same as 100 bucks was 7 years ago.

After having the 04 first model year though, I think I'll be waiting for most production runs till the middle or end of the run.

This is one of the reasons power mods will be slow for me. Im also waiting for other people to find the weaknesses in the car, so I can upgrade accordingly.

There are a few issues that are still being worked out by Scion/Subaru, as reported by those on FT86Club. Some cars make a weird cricket noise at idle, which may be the direct injection system. Others have an occasional idle dip (mine has this) where the RPMs will drop to ~500rpms. I need to report the issue to the dealer, but Im not going to let them touch the car until there is an actual fix. No offense to Toyota/Scion techs, but they probably dont know a whole lot about boxer engines.

Other then the weird idle dip, my car seems pretty solid. I dont feel any issues, but Im still going to wait about a year before I do big mods.

For now, bolt ons are a go

Nice!
I wonder if they'd let you take it to Subaru for any engine work?

I'd imagine so J. I've taken my car to Honda before to get parts, oil changes, and some minor stuff done.

Even the Subaru techs dont know this motor, its all new, and IIRC the first DI engine they make. But the bigger issue is warranty. The dealer I went through warranties the engine and transmission for the life of ownership, so while its still mostly stock, I'd prefer to have them service it just so they cant point the finger on someone else if something were to go wrong.

Yea, I'd kill to have the Auto Factory exhaust, but its expensive and I havent seen any dyno graphs. Im not buying something without seeing what it is capable of.

I dont like the ARK exhaust. I cant stand those tips, and the sound isnt that great IMO. Also, no dyno graphs

With that said, I did order something this morning

Whoa umadbro?

Ok so why did you post that in here if "EVERYONE KNOWS THAT"? Make a thread in the 2G CL section, you'll find a lot more info there rather than random threads.

Turn your caps lock off please, you look like a fool. So you made a thread with 0 info about these TSW wheels you have in the CL section, and a random post in the TL section. You have nothing for me, that is a 100% guarantee. I prefer to not do business with people who can barely spell and use proper grammar.

Also where are the mines? I don't want to step on one.

Note to new guy - You don't come into someone else's thread about their new car and start a "want to sell" discussion about parts from your car. That's not cool and probably violates a few rules around here as well.

I actually simply offered a suggestion for you to post in the correct section, not someone elses thread. Then you went the all caps freak out route. Seriously, take it to the 2G CL section.
