same engines, slightly different tuning. handling, im not too sure but i wanna say that the si has a bit stiffer suspension since its an "si" but then again, tsx is a "tsx =P". in terms of acceleration, the si will kick ass cuss its lighter than the tsx. and gas usage, well like again, since its lighter, most likely more mpg than the tsx.

The TSX has a 2.4L while the Si has a 2.0L.

they are in 2 different classes.

eitherwise the TSX is an Accord and a Civic Si is just a Civic

While I prefer the performance of the Si, the TSX is clearly a notch above. Now the CSX-S could make the choice between the two a lot tougher IMHO....then again, it is not available stateside.

As said above, very different cars. Just because both have 4 drs and similar power does not make them comparable to most consumers. As an example of target market, I like the new Si's a lot so I mentioned it to my wife when I was shopping for a new car recently (not to replace out TSX). She said she'd never consider an Si, but she really loves our TSX.

pretty much agree with what's said already.

if i had to buy a car right now and had to choose between the two, i'd still take the tsx because personally, i think it's a car that better suits me, my age, and what i'm looking for.

but if i was in, say, college, yea, the si sedan would be one of the first cars i'd look at.

but yea, they are different cars and for the most part, have different demographics.

I doubt that they will steal sale from each other. One is for people who want a small car with great performance and handling. the TSX is for people who want more luxury. The civic si should handle better than the TSX, considering what the civic type R can do (ie, beating nsx, rx7, lancer evo, gtr r34 on suzuka).

The Civic Si would outperform the TSX in all performance aspects cause the TSX is a cow compared to the Si - but IMO the TSX looks way better, has a much nicer interior and is more of what I'm looking for. You may want to be careful on this subject because TSX owners are really touchy about their cars - at least the ones that plan on keeping theirs.

As others have said, two completely different cars. The Civic is targetted toward a younger buyer, the TSX is targetted toward a slightly older or more professional buyer.

The Civic also doesn't offer:

- leather interior
- power seats
- dual zone climate control
- bluetooth
- smoother ride
- HID
- auto day/night rearview mirror

The TSX is a (entry-level) luxury car. The Civic is not.

I've driven both and couldn't put it better myself!

I wanted a cheap manual sporty (Honda) coupe so that's why I now have the Si...
