Choosing between TL and F/I car

Hello, Im new here. I current own a 2002 Firepepper Red RSX Type S, and I wanted to get most of you guys opinions on the TL and F/I cars. Right now I'm having a hard time deciding on what I wanna do with the DC5 right now..Either Hondata Reflash, or just cam it with kpro and enjoy it. Ever since i saw the new TL's I've wanted one. I would like to have a 6spd with nav, but I wanna know something...would it be worth getting the TL over a EVO? Like I want boost, but the TL doesn't have a turbo kit out yet, Only a supercharger..for the ones who's SC what's the cons and pros from being supercharged. Also what's been some of your "kills, and able to keep up with's"

If you are going to use the evo as a daily good luck...

#2 stolen car in the U.S.

Parking the car on the street is very risky.

People are known to vandalize evos for fun. ie: karate chop the wing

Gas guzzler

Very expensive to maintain, if you can't afford it you will be taking the bus and regretting your decision.

People around you will drive like they are mario andretti once they spot the evo.

Last night, I literally almost died because some guy was taunting me in his older v6 eclipse.

He almost ran me off the 110 fwy trying to showcase that his car was faster. The idiot kept cutting me off, taking off and then slamming on his brakes. When I switched to the slowest right lane, he slowed down to keep beside me. I decided to do what ever it takes to get away from this dude.

I downshift into fourth and im moving pretty fast. As I'm about to pass the eclipse and theres nothing he can do about it, he decides to pull infront of me and my life flashed before my eyes. I came a couple of inches from hitting the guy, and I almost lost control of the car. Luckily there was a shoulder or else I would have bounced off the wall, crossed all 5 lanes, and most likely died along with hurting alot of other people... I no longer commute to work in my evo. Horrible gas milage, unwanted attention, and high insurance rates

ok so that answers my first question. I know comptech made a supercharger for the TL, but how come there's not a turbo kit out yet?

A turbo installation for a V-6 is a lot more complicated than a supercharger setup, therefore probably not worth the development costs for the relatively few kits that'll actually be sold. The TL just isn't a great tuner car, and that sucks because I own one. I still like it, though.

I'm seriously considering BMW's new 335i coupe (300 hp, 300 ft-lbs, twin turbo) but I'm waiting until the tuners work it over to see how much power can be squeezed out of the stock setup.

Pardon my ignorance, but exactly what would you be doing with the car that you need it in 6 speed, WITH nav, and WITH a turbo?

aparently the new TL-S for 2007 will have a 3.5 liter v6 cranking 300 h.p. Not bad as a base platform to do some exciting front wheel drive modifications (then again, for straight line driving only).

If you want a nice ride and a quality FI car, get a Legacy GT. That car is amazaing, and i would get one in a heart beat if i were new car shopping. That car can easily put out 300 whp and still drive like stock, while tearing it up in the snow.

They're totally different cars. I had an "early life car crisis" earlier this year when I considered the rx-8 (too slow, and modless), 350z (too common, heavy, passionless- no offense to our 350z owners out here, I still love the car), S2k (my favorite by far, I just couldnt fit- legs too long) M3/S4 (a bit too out of my pricerange at the time), and the EVO/Sti. When it came down to it, I just didnt want the boy racer image that goes along with them. I think what you'll find is that the TL is such a well-rounded car, that it gives you alot more choices of what you want your car to be. There are many TL's around here running high 13's, and someone around here running a 13.17 I believe (with NOS), so its not like its slow, but if I want to go out to a fancy restaurant, I can take my TL, and blend in. If I want to go to the fast food joint, I can take my TL and not feel like i'm forsaking some higher acura being. If I want to drive down jefferson avenue at 11pm, I dont have to worry about being targeted as a street racer (even though I have gotten an exhaust ticket, those b***chesss). I think when it was time for me to get an evo, I just realized that as much as I love to drive fast and blow by the other motorists that THINK their cars are fast, I didnt want that to be the only thing my car could do. If I had two cars, it'd probably be an EVO/s2k and something like a TSX or RDX, but I don't have two cars, I have one. And it does everything I want it to, pretty darn well.
