Glad to help.

Seriously though, a drop and headlights similar to those would be sick. What year is your Jetta again? I was looking up parts, but didn't know if I was looking up the correct year or not.

2009 Sportwagen 2.5L 5MT.

They would fit ... I'll put it on the list. Some of the benefits of the Euro lights I don't have yet because I don't have the right switch.

Lighting is going to be an entire subset of mods as I need to retrofit fogs and a switch and do some VAG-COM programming. I think that is like $500 ... Then those e-Codes are another $500 and pretty soon I'm living in my Jetta LOL.

hmm, If only I wasn't too lazy. I could of kept my Carbonio CAI when I traded in my Jetta.

I changed the rear muffler with a Magnaflow 14816. Sounded pretty good imo.

I do have a pair of closed honeycomb fog light grilles if you want them.

I also have an Autotech Dogbone Mount laying somewhere around here.

The AWE tuning exhaust was always my favorite.

From what I've heard, you can do a Xenon retrofit with the e-Codes because they won't burn the retinas of other drivers.

Bi-Xenon is probably way too much money.

If they were originally part of the car great, otherwise, some silverstar bulbs at the least make a difference.

The JSW looks good! Really like the mods you chose so far

Wanted to also say that we picked up a Tiguan Wolfsburg and I'm amazed at the fit and finish and the fun factor of these VW's. I really want a CC or a GTI now. My mazda3 and civic are not even in the same league.

It's amazing how different a Japanese and German car in the same price range can be, isn't it?

The Mazda3 I had was about $18k new. The Jetta Sportwagen S is about $20k new ... Not even close to being equal.

And the Mazda is a very popular car too. There just aren't many good cars under $20k these days.

My mom liked my JSW so much she swapped her 2003 Accord for a 2010 JSW SE DSG.

She got the panoramic sunroof (very nice actually) and the Porto wheels. I'll post pics tomorrow.

She's getting her windows tinted later this week and the aluminum rear bumper protector put on (scuff plate).

I don't see her doing much else except perhaps getting a phone with bluetooth that doesn't automatically go to voicemail when bluetooth is enabled

I'm hoping VW single-handedly brings back wagons with all the Jettas they are selling.

I'd say she's off to a good start. Buy two xenon kits and save some money.

If anyone could do it, it's VW and Subura.

Two years later and I'm up to 50,400 miles. Car has been fine. No issues at all but honestly, I really do not like the 2.5L I-5. I think it's a rough and not really economical.

But I thought I should update it since those that ask about VW wonder about reliability. It's been excellent.

I just dropped about $1000 in parts and labor into my E36 328i because the suspension was shot. Needed new shocks/struts (put in new springs because the race springs were way too low) and an alignment.

Since I put a bunch of money into it after I first got it (cooling system, RTABs, exhaust, tires, etc) it's been a very good car. It starts every time, gets pretty good mileage, just passed emissions inspection. With the new suspension bits I'm hoping it drives better too.

But, I'm also getting bored with it ... Damn brain.

whoa, you put on some miles quick. Our Avant is an '08 and we only have 26K.

Glad to hear your experience has been good other than the distaste for the engine. Which motor do you feel you would have been happier with?

It's part of the reason I bought the BMW, I was putting over 20k miles a year on the car ... And I work from home. Nuts.

I really wanted the SEL. That has the 2.0T GTI engine and a 6MT. It was just too expensive. Was going used for what it went for new (about $30k).

Going to continue with this thread with the Focus ST ... And ask for my old Audi thread merged too so I have one thread for all my cars ...

I still miss that Audi. But the Focus is a really nice car.

Got the oil catch can today. Will install ASAP. Going to get the new green filter everyone is raving about.

I need to sell my wheels from the Audi and the Jetta before I get ones for the Focus. My neighbor asked me if I sold tires out of my house
