If the RL is in good shape why not just keep it?

Because that would be too smart for me to do.

I actually dont mind it which is why im in no rush to get into something else yet. I just cant picture keeping the RL that long. I still need some sporty flavor in my DD.

I'm looking at getting a Stage 3+ 2001.5 Audi S4. Would love to get Nogaro Blue but its quite a bit more than any other colors I've looked at.

Drove a 06 M35x and a M45 today.

I think i like it better than the G35. It has a lot of nice features. Even air cooled seats for my hairy ass.

If I bought a pre-owned 06 M instead of my new 07 G, I would probably still have the M.... who am I kidding, no I wouldn't but it would have been the wise choice.

I'm glad teh Jesal goes through vehicles the way he does, it makes me feel normal.

Honestly, the car didnt even feel like it had AWD. Which was amazing.

I like the M45 for the low end and the non-wood trim. But the M35x has the best deal...

06 m35x with 30k miles fully loaded for $27k. Thats before haggling.

Or 06 M45 with 30k miles loaded and certified for $32k. Not sure if the M45 is worth 5k more..

Looks great from the pics in the BM

I can see myself driving something like that (or an 05 RL), but I think my red CL 6spd keeps me young

Well, it only took charliemike 2 weeks and 4 pages to get something... Whiskers could learn alot from this thread

So, since it's over we might as well make fun of Jesal and his auto buying exploits... I'm actually Jesalous since he switches cars like I wish I could... I'm just too damn cheap / conservative

Not as much as people think. I just try to buy used cars at low prices and sell them for almost what i paid.

335i was the only car i took a big hit on and that was because i didnt part it out. Car itself I lost $5k in a year. The mods on the otherhand... :ouch:

Hell i sold the A4 for $24k and i bought it for $31k. Not bad after 3 years of owning it. IMO

I need to make a new screen name to ask for car advice on here it seems. People sick of quests.

Anywho, this is my form of entertainment while im still young. It will all come to an end once married and then little jizzys are around.

Promises of pics ... Still gonna happen!

But, I just bought a mod for it

OEM RNS-E Navigation system ... Putting it in and doing the VAG-COM coding this weekend. Was going to tint it too but the damn weather is supposed to be shitty.

As soon as I get the tint done I'll post up some pictures.

So much for not modding besides wheels

The RNS-E install was amazingly easy. Getting the instrument cluster out to put the satellite receiver in was the biggest PITA by far. Just need to VAG-COM it on Saturday.

Unfortunately, looks like my XM module won't work. I'll need a newer one. $275 ... *sigh*

New Pics (Finally!)

Those of you with photo skills are probably going to think "those shots are over-(something)" ... I agree. Bad light and my limited skills ... Oh, and these are with no waxing ... I just washed it last night and shot them this morning.

LOL, no kidding. I bought it with 24,900 miles on it. I have 27,500 =o

Trips to New York City and Ohio already plus the 200+ mile trip home from the dealer.

I just love driving this car. I might have to buy a second car just to keep from racking up BS miles on this one

Amazing car! Congrats! Personally I'd be tempted to get a use B5 and make it Stage 3+ before I'd get the less modifiable B6, however that's just me. Still, awesome car!

The S4 looks very good mr.charliemike! Is that color silver? Your tinted windows and Hamann replicas are a match made in heaven. Is the center dash OEM or did you do it by yourself? Any plans for your exhaust?

Congrats again!!

Thanks for the compliments! Yup, that's silver. That center dash is OEM. The original head unit (Symphony II 6-disc changer) came right out and with some very minor effort the RNS-E slid right in. When you have a car without Navi from the factory, you have to put in the GPS antenna and use a wire harness adapter to get it to work. I pulled the guage cluster and hid the GPS antenna behind it and then ran the cord to the Navigation unit. I get 8 satellites on most days. If I had to do it again, it would take me all of 15 minutes to do. It's plug and play.

I do need to get the VAG-COM programming done though. The car needs to be programmed for the RNS-E so I can get the navigation directions and more info in the DIS in the instrument cluster. Plus I need a newer Sirius or XM unit because the old OEM ones don't work with the RNS-E.

I am thinking about a Milltek exhaust because it has the dual stage flaps. Loud when you get on it but quiet when you drive normally. I just need to hear one in person ... Then I'll start looking for one.

No plans to do anything with the suspension or anything like that. That stuff tends to be a slippery slope

gotta disagree with that though.... why buy a nice car and leave it at home? With whatever you spend on that second car, you could put it towards something better, just my

The Civic in my sig is still actually owned by our family, its just not my primary car anymore. My mom always insists on my taking the car to go to school and work to save gas, as its got plenty of dings and dents already, and it gets 34 mpg. I decline every time.

I know what you're saying. I agree. I work from home and still put a lot of miles on my car. I honestly don't know where it goes
