The 07s are out of my price range after I considered what I wanted to spend.

I decided not to go drive one.

The entire 2009 production run is now sold out too. Those prices ain't coming down anytime soon.

You should easily be able to find a 07 G35S 6MT with average to low miles for under $30k

I really love the Legacy GT and I'm stuck between buying that or a TSX.
The price you listed in your first post was just ok. On a $30,400 2008 Legacy GT (auto, but no nav) I was offered around $24,000 NEW from more than one dealer. They don't sell here. At all. I'm sure a new Spec. b will be under invoice.
The Legacy looks great, has AWD, gets very good mileage considering the power + AWD (only 2 worse in the city compared to the TSX), is super super safe, reliable, easy to tune, durable, perfect size, inexpensive to run, great handling, acceleration (amazingly, it was tested to have a 5.23 0-60 time link.

Go for the Leggy!

Well I'm at an impass on the Audi I wanted. We're about $1000 apart and I've got "their best deal" from them.

So I'm trying to decide if I should let a car that has exactly what I want go over a $1k.

2005 with 25k miles and ten months of factory warranty left for $28k.

$28k is a bit higher than I would have liked but the market for S4s in the DC area is still a lot better than say California.

Some people may have gotten a better deal but I'm happy with the car I got and like I said, $1k was what was going to keep me from getting it.

B6. The B7s were more than I wanted to pay with under 30k miles on them. They were all in the $30k range.

It's Silver/Black ... I didn't go with anything like Nogaro Blue or Imola Yellow because I figured those are colors that I'd get tired of pretty quickly.

Thanks for the advice and the kudos!

Keep looking. I just bought a loaded (nav, sport, tech pkg) certified 2007 G35S with 22,000 miles on it for 28K. Best decision I've made. I drove a few Audi's and BMW's and they are really nice, but the G just seemed like the better deal to me. I have the light gray interior with the metal trim and it looks great, not like plastic. The fit and finish is excellent and the car hauls a$$! Good luck on your search.

I wish I wasn't such a pussy or else i'd rock a B6 S4...Audi reliability scares the crap out of me, and my dad will never let another one on the driveway after his experience....They're cheap as shit now too, I saw one at Carmax for like $26,000

It's in my driveway. Someone with a "what should I do?" thread actually bought a car!

It's a 2005 (in-service 6/30/2005) S4 with 25k miles on it. XM, Premium, ski bag, auto lighting, and a lot of other shit I need to check the options tag in the trunk to confirm.

Silver and black 6MT. Really nice car. I mean just quiet as a vault.

Really good condition. Had a friend do the 6 hour R/T with me and he concurred it was in great shape.

Car is due for service in 900 miles. I'm going to go by Tischer Audi and introduce myself to the service advisor the AudiWorld/Audizine guys recommend and get the service history from them.

So glad I pulled the trigger. it's just such a nice car.

And it's already wired for a V1 but honestly I drive like a grandmother. I don't think I'd get it unless I could get one used for like $100.

I think its a little cheaper because its the old body style and plus the new S4 will come out next year. But its still a great deal. Most B7 2.0T are still in the around 25,000 around 30,000 miles with CPO and a little less without CPO.

You know...Some of us resemble that remark

Good job. I've always loved the S4/RS4. They are fast and don't scream "pull me over".....

And I'll comment on the Legacy GT for you in about 4 weeks.....

a G35 is a nice car but the most awesome car you've ever drove
I can name 4 cars i've drove i thought was sweeter than the G:
-my brother in laws 2006 RL
-Dad's friend Benz E55
- my buddy's S-10 with a world products engine stroked 350 he puts down 500 hp without juice. with juice about 700 hp. yeah it's silly fast.
- another buddy of mine got a 2001 or 2002 Dodge Ram 5.9 Cummins 4x4 dynoed at 600 hp and 1000 ft lbs of torque. i think he ran like a low 14 with it once. for a 4x4 truck that's pretty good.

Red face

^ um ok Corky.

Dad wanted a smaller car so I sold him the Mazda3, otherwise he was going to buy his own. His RL is up for sale in the Black Market btw.

So im shopping again. Hard to beileve but for the first time, I am not going to impluse buy anything again.

I been out test driving a bunch of cars to see which I would like to keep for at least 3-5 years as a daily driver.

Price range is big since I want to make sure i get a good car that I will not get sick of. Nothing above $35k but under $30k the better. Also gas mileage is not a concern as long as it gets above 23mpg on the highway.

Cars I drove recently....

2007 G35 Sedan (12k miles for $27k)
Excellent car and great value. One of the best auto transmissions i have driven. Its silky smooth and the paddle shifters are a blast. Hardly any delay when using them. Engine feels very powerful all the way to redline. Interior is nicely laid out but materials are nothing to rave about. I love the gadgets in the car and the backup camera is tits.

I can see why this car is getting wonderful reviews. But it doesnt handle like a BMW though and the steering isnt as tight as well. Thats my only issue with the car but again this is my daily driver and wont be seeing track time. So for its on top of my list.

2006 BMW 330i sedan certified ($27k with 17k miles)
I am not sure if this certain 330i that i drove has issues but the automatic was NOT smooth at all. It totally turned me off to the car. Even though the engine was butter and the handling was excellent... the automatic gearbox is making me cross off BMW from my list.

2009 Pontiac G8 ($33k new with a 100k warranty)
GM... I salute you. Finally you made a car that seems like a winner. Drove a G8 GT black on black. I love the looks of it and personally would get a white one. I took it for a spin and it held its own against the other cars that i been considering. Everything in the interior actually had a nice touch to it and didnt feel cheap at all. Backseat room is amazing, i was shocked how much space the rear had even when i was "pimpin" in the front seat. One issue is that I was wearing my Omega and with it on my wrist, i couldnt adjust the seat with the door closed. My hand just wouldnt fit between the door and the side of the seat. Weird, that has never happened in any car. Also another issue is the A-pillers are massive, visibility in the cabin is kinda poor. I understand there are airbags but sheesh.

Engine.. I was expecting more power but of course i got in the car thinking I was gonna burn up the tires. Then i remembered this is a family sedan and its suppose to be tame. Dont get me wrong, when you step on the pedal it moves... rather quickly actually but it feels heavy. Handling is on par to the G35 I think same goes for the steering. Which is impressive for GM.

I also cant get passed the badge. Im sorry... i know.. its horrible but I cant picture myself driving a Pontiac and even going there for service. The car didnt wow me enough for that just yet.

2005 Audi S4 certified ($32k with 22k miles)
I gave this car a chance since my Audi A4 was great to me and it was the one car I had the longest. I LOVE the 4.2 engine and the power is just downright deceiving. It doesnt feel fast but damn, look down at the speedo and you flying. Totally needs an exhaust to let that engine roar a little. Steering at low speeds still way too light for my liking but doesnt kill the sale for me.

My issue with this car is I had the body style for 3 years and kinda tired of looking at it. I do however love how well the interior aged and it didnt feel outdated at all. Now if only I can find a 2006 bodystyle for under $35k..

2008 Acura TL
*crickets*

2008 Mazda3 hatch ($19k)
I loooooooove my Mazda3 but i also missed my creature comforts. Also for under 20k this car had a lot to offer and drove well. Handled better than most of the sedans i listed above even! My issue is that i want more power on the highway. City driving this car is fantastic though. The automatic was smooth but it was only a 4 speed auto which got annoying on the highway. Funny, i had no issue driving a Mazda but have an issue owning a Pontiac?

Still plan to drive
05 330i ZHP
Legacy GT
WRX hatch
GTI
02 M5
????
Told you im all over the place.

Anyways.. i really just wanted to get my thoughts all sorted out. Im sure you guys are sick of my car shopping but i understand. Just hoping this next purchase sticks for awhile.

HELP!
