Oh help me out here. I have had nothing but Acura's all my life. Two integra's and my 1999 TL. Believe me, I would rather stick with acura's rather than the other brands......but my TL in the recent past slipped while shifting in second 2-3 times at high rpm's. Since then I've installed a tranny cooler, it was cheap and easy installation........I havent had slippage since, whether that did anything or not. So now my car runs and shifts fine, but Im afraid of what might happen tomorrow, so I kind of want to sell my car sometime soon while its still running fine. Yes, I do want to stick with Acura's but I am never owning another AUTOMATIC. So that limits out ALOT of acura's out there for my next purchase. I would like an 03 CL 6-speed but very rare and just out of my price range. I dont want another integra unless its a type-r but going from a luxury I kind of want that same feeling but with a manual tranny. Also I have had nothing faster than a high 14 second car so i do want to upgrade to something faster. Here's a thought, I looked at 2002-2003 maxima's.........Hard as hell to find in a manual....2000 prelude's......Too expensive with high miles.......The only cars that I found that are cheap with low miles, manual, leather,etc..........Look bad ass, and you can make EXTREMELY FAST is like a 2000-2003 VW GTI. I've always loved the looks of those cars but are they reliable? Can you beat on them like you can with an acura? Why are they so cheap? 1.8 turbo rather than a VR6. I dont know, give me some pointers on other cars that you think, but Im kind of steering towards a VW. Tell me if thats a good choice or not.

 

when i was looking for a Maxima i read about their sensors goin bad thus making the check engine light come on repeadtly....and if u go with a VW then u must have money becuz itz pretty pricey to fix it when it comes to basics as far as brakes go and minor stuff like that...keep ur TL especially if u dont have a payment and it will be worth while and money in the long run even if u have to replace the tranny...

 

I would say just try to find a 01-03 CLS6 since you wanna stay in the Acura family.

 

the cls 6speeds only came in 03, makes them that much more harder to find and own. have u thought of a cl-s6 swap
