Certified used Honda

Certified used Honda
Got a quick question,
I was at the Honda dealer trying to help my cousin find a car.
It had the sticker on it "Honda certified used car".
Anyways... the guy said that all of the certified used cars can be certified up to 7/100k mi.
My thing is... i thought as long as the car was certified, it automatically had a 7 year 100k mi drive train warranty on it.
But the guy said it's $400-$500 extra.
WTH??? I thought the certified ones all have the certified warranty already in it.
Is he setting me up to be ripped off?
It's an 03 civic coupe LX manual with 34000 miles on it.
It's priced at $13000. I know we can probably do a little better. But again... the certified thing.

Its certified up to 7 years (as in 7 years after its original purchase) and 100,000 miles. I had a certified TL myself. If its certified, it has the warranty. The sales guy is a douche.

After posting this, i went to the Honda website and it said
"All certified cars come with a 7 year 100k miles warranty".
So... what i'm going to do is say dont worry about the warranty. Then get them to go as low as possible. When i then ask about warranty and try to say it's extra, i'll ask them, but this car is certified right? Then i'll pull up Honda's website where it talks about certified used cars and show them. Hehehe
