Thanks. Believe it or not, it just hit 200K miles, but it honestly drives like a 50k mile car. It drives better than my old one, which had about 60k miles on the odometer.
I got really lucky. It's a 2003 and one owner (female doctor) with all service records. Over the last 80K she spent over $12K in maintenance alone. I also got a 4 year unlimited mile warranty. Couldn't trust a another BMW without warranty :-)

The first owner traded it in, and I got it from a dealership. I got it with 199K miles and the warranty company that the dealership uses offers warranties for all cars under 200K miles, so I just made it. The dealership even said that they would waive the deductible if I bring it to them.
Paid $1300 for the warranty.

I love both cars. That 540i Wagon is amazing.
I really love the A3. It's the perfect sized car for being in an urban setting. The S3 has been on my list of cars if I decide to get something new.
I hope it gives you many years of enjoyment!

Wagon here. Love that gen of 5-series wagon. Enjoy! Good move to buy a warranty!

Nice stable you got there.
I've always loved the E39 540s, a buddy of mine had his completely straight piped and it sounded

A few updated pictures, now that the summer wheels are on and we (hopefully) won't be seeing any more snow until the next winter.
And before the "needs drop" comments come in, I have no plans to do that with this car. I've learned my lesson from the last few cars with Chicago pot holes I'm quite happy with the Comfort, Sport and Sport+ options in Dynamic Drive.

Honestly, after getting the E39 I wanted a more modern daily RWD car again that met the following criteria:
1. Easily tuneable
2. More spacious
3. More growl (I could not find any good sounding Turbo 4s).
The A3 was really nice as a daily driver, but I just got bored of it.

Looks great. Honestly doesn't really look like it needs a drop; maybe 1/2" would be perfect.

Thanks. Yes, I think I've gotten to a stage where I'd sacrifice looks for comfort for the daily driver. 5 years ago I think I would have dropped it at least .5.
