Yeah my dads got one, I've taken it out a few times, it halls ass. Fastest SUV ever. The Porsche models weight a lot more and thats why the SRT is faster. What an amazing car.
That was my first post in this thread. Clearly I wasn't being negative nor opinionated. You guys got all worked up.

very detailed, you should write for motor trend. Btw, the Cayenne S is only roughly 200 lbs heavier (turbo weighs in at 5100). That's not 'a lot' when we are talking about cars between 4800-5100 lbs. Both are pigs

This was a post in response to the Cayenne out perfomring the CG overall...

And there another post saying the SS could never be faster then the GC...

Actually, no one really on your case til you made the aforementioned quote above.

I doubt those Porsche engineers in Stuttgart were saying "Ach those darrrnn American Jeeps, they are ahead of us, Nein!!"

"Porsche is pissed that jeep has a better SUV" Give me a break. I'm sure the last thing on their mind is a Jeep. I'm sure they're thinking more along the lines of a ML63 AMG or that Volvo posted eariler.

And I didn't mean to quote you, just the quote that you quoted.

Smitty tried to convince people that lowering a car didn't lower the frame at all. He was dead serious and went on yelling at like 10 people who said he was wrong. He finally after about 10 days realized he was retarded and virtually erased the thread leaving no evidence

Honestly, it was one of the funniest things i've ever seen. He was dead serious that when you lowered a car, you didn't lower the frame at all. He had a real hard time trying to figure out he was wrong.

Did I ever in this thread claim to know something or argue something, that I was wrong about about? NO. I know a great deal about the Jeeps. I simply stated my opinion about the SRT8 and the Porsche. Funny how worked up you guys get, and the name calling, how old are you guys?? Grow up. I think all of this funny....

Seriously, are you illiterate? We've all pointed out the retarded comments you have made in this thread. Start at the beginning, read post 1, then follow to the bottom of the page. Then click on page 2, read that page, proceed to 3, then 4, and then 5 (although by page 5 we've gotten tired pointing out your stupid comments and have moved on to another discussion about an idiot that use to roam this board. Reading these 5 pages will give you an understanding on why EVERYONE in this thread is on top of you

After that is all done, read your MB thread

And after all that is said in done, hopefully you'll crawl back into the hole you came from.

Here, I'll point it all out for you

In fact the SRT-8 isn't much faster then the Cayenne TT. As far as weight, there is about 400 lb different, the Jeep weighing in at 4800, the Cayenne at roughly 5150. Which isn't a lot when we are talking about cars that weight 2 tons plus

Another, the SRT-8 is not faster then the Cayenne, and look at the slalom times in both, etc. See who really is the better performer

that is your reply after someone mentions a cam and tune getting the SS close to the SRT. Do you have any idea what mild cams and tunes are doing to the LS2 motor? Probably not, it's also probably way above your comprehension so we'll leave that out. That said, even then, the SRT isn't much faster then the SS. I've been following real world times for both, both seem to be in mid 13's w/ the SRT getting the nudge and I know it'll be the opposite after the a mild cam and tune

I'll stop there for now as that is just page one and I've already done enough to make you look stupid. If you are not convinced yet I'll be happy to start picking at page 2, just remember, after page 2 there are still a good 2+ pages that can be done to show you have no clue what you are talking about

And again, I like the SRT, so I'm not knocking it, I haven't said anything negative about it or any of the other SUV's we've talked about. As you mentioned, looks are all opinions, some hate the cayenne, some hate the SRT, some hate the SS. Me personally I love them all. As mentioned we had a deposit on an SRT, decided to go a different route, I almost bought myself an SS, decided on a GTO instead. The Cayenne TT, man I love that car as well. I've driven all 3, the list for me would got CTT, SRT, SS. But again, all 3 are great cars, the SS is the bargain of the deal IMO though, but tha'ts obvious

I'm going to assume the 1st time you have ever seen http://www.ifsja.org was today. And that alone would drop your jeepy knowledge down quite a bit. Knowing the latest crapylser jeeps is not knowing jeeps.

Be careful making broad blanket statments that apply to everyone posting in this thread besides yourself.

p.s.

A Typhoon stock (from early 90's) would run with a SRT8, and with a $20 tweak it'd eat it for breakfast and lunch. If we're going to discuss just raw power and #'s.

Didnt the Typhoon and cyclon fail because it couldnt tow much? Wouldnt the SRT8 repeat this?

It is a bad ass SUV for 40k though.

The car I drove didn't have it, I actually asked the guy if it was available and he had no clue. Same goes for the guys at the auto show.

Thinking about ditching the pilot? I think once you drive the GTO you'll fall in love w/ the lS2
