Cars you like but wouldn't own

Call me crazy, but I like the Crown Vic in police guise. Amongst other cars, I don't think I would ever want it due to the auto trans, but maybe one day I will get old.
Also, the 300C SRT-8

most shocking factor is that the driver is completely confident in these moves.
imagine being behind the wheel, making these manuevers, and actually feeling CONFORTABLE doing it....approaching a airplane hanger in a 50 mph slide, knowing that somehow the car will scoot through a small opening.

when you got these V-8 monsters they kill you're mileage. I'm not saying it's good they kill the CTS-V or ZR-1 Vette. it could sell like it's on fire but when the goverment says YOU GOTTA DO THIS to get the cash or GM broke I think they'll do what the goverment says.

rx8
love to drive one. have read very positive stuff about the car. but, just wouldn't buy one because of the negative stuff (which i think are very serious) about the rx8.
whether or not the shortcomings are legitimate, that's another discussion.

the 300C is whenever the Charger ends. i'd say 2-3 years.

HOWEVER why not the rest, is well built fun cars?
I'll be honest when I put in deposit on Civic Type R next year I'll have to think about a Evo 11 coming.

They shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath... that's like me wanting to compare my old RSX against my STi... a joke.

Any Mazda with rotary engine. I absolutely love the rotary in theory but I've come to like the reliability of my Honda products and just couldn't take the gamble on one.

Chevy Malibu (Love the styling, but the future of GM?)
Mini Cooper S (Fun car, but too damn small)
VW GTI (Too expensive to insure, but would be a fun project car)

'32 Ford roadster, black with red steelies and baby moons, red grill, Duvall windshield, tuck and roll upholstery, Flathead v8 with the ribbed valve covers (polished ribs, red in the grooves), lakes headers
Like this except with the split Duvall, and old bias ply whitewalls not radials.

Every time I see a civic si I look at it and appreciate it, but I can't see myself driving one. I like the Civic Si, but unless I was victim to extreme economic hardships I couldn't see myself driving one, but I think they are cool cars. I also like audi's but think I would buy any of the competition over them, not because I dislike audi, I just like the competition better. I like most of the SRT8 line, but couldn't see me driving one, I could say the same of Subaru.
Maybe it is part of growing up, but I can't see me driving any sort of super car either, I like P-cars and that is probably as far as I would climb in the food chain regardless of cash flow.

Three Wheelin'
94-96 Impala SS
Love the body lines and part of it's appeal is its size. I just don't think I would ever want to drive something around that big.

BMW. Amazing cars but the spotty reliability and maintenace cost scare me. Similar deal with Audi and MB.
STI or Evo. Amazing performance but I'd rack up tickets and lose my license within' a month. too fast for the street IMO. And i'd go broke modding.
Honda S2000. Wouldn't fit very well into that tiny car. and RWD is not practical around here, too much snow.

Someday, an RS6 Avant+
Why? They aren't even comparable.... EVO >>>>> Civic all day long, in every possible category, short of mpg, but then you might as well buy a prius if that's a main concern.

The STi and Evo kick the shit out of the Civic. That's not even a fair fight. Now the Evo vs. STi is another issue.

x2, especially audi. I think MB are reliable enough though, but I don't see me owning one because repair and parts costs are through the roof, and they are almost all automatic.
Any muscle cars/classic cars because I am too used to the reliability and conveniences of modern vehicles.
Can't think of much else, the 3rd gen wranglers I love but wouldn't own because of the new v6. The 4.0 was a much better engine, plus super reliable.

basically any desirable car with poor reliability. the first things that come to mind are the mainstream supercars of the 90s - 3000GT, Supra, RX7.
but for modern day cars - Land Rover and MB.
