Nice! I didn't even remember there was a Colt GT Turbo. I remember when I had my 88 CRX Si with mods and loving to get the 5.0s off the line, very fun times.

I would never buy a wagon, but this car was probably one of my exceptions.
I used to own a 94 850, and the 850R sedan looked amazing to me.
I still plan on owning one of these babies one day

Great little car. Seeing this website (LINK), makes me wish I'd kept it. It would have been a great track car.

Decent motor for its time but the ground effects were downright gaudy. I guess Ford wanted it to stand out from its SE V6 sibling which had its own (slightly more tasteful) aero pkg.
Just for the record, a number of the cars posted here (626, 3G Camry, Probe and Contour) were in Hertz's rental fleet while I worked as a transporter. Honestly, all were fairly decent cars. (Perspective: The fairly mediocre Contour replaced the absolutely terrible Tempo model.)

me too, kinda grampa or granma looking. I looked at getting one years ago, but picked up an 89 Legend instead. I wanted a touring edition that I think had the subtle rear wheel steering engage over a certain speed (like the 240 I think)

^yes, yes it was. although i wouldn't be ashamed to admit it, cuz i owned one, i had a 2000 sport model and i absolutely loved the look of it. just can't get it out of my head, most of the 4-door sedans don't compare with the styling of it.

Another Ford marketing failure, the Merkur XR4Ti. This car is RWD and came with a turbo-charged version of the 2.3 Pinto engine. It's based on the successful euro Ford Sierra.

I test drove the 89 model a couple of times when new. (I still have the brochure even.) Mustang SVO powertrain wrapped in a Sierra Cosworth Euro pkg but, what I recall most is that it stickered at $34k back in 1989.

'08 MX5 GT 6spd.
That cost 6-7k before tuning and installation.
So........
28k for the car with 0 incentives, and the ugly '09 NC2 facelift.
8k for the Cosworth.
No thanks. 36k can be better spent.

Current gen chevy cobalt ss supercharged. It has a very capable powertrain and chasis, but those cheap ass econo-car looks and the poor quality hold it back.

Those V70's are nice, but I LOVE the old 850 body styling. It's like one of those cars you'd draw as a kid. Just straight lines and as boxy as you can get. I've had my 850 as a hand me down for 2 years, and it was the greatest car ever. Never had one problem.
Instead of the T5, find a V70R. Those have a better interior, and some have 300 HP. And no one thought Volvo had a sense of humor......

There's a lot of cars in this thread I'll openly admit that I like.
The '92-'98 MX-3 is one that I'll watch who I say it in front of. It has some girlie looks and came in those ugly pastel colors that the '90s automakers were so fond of. It always reminded me of the CRX.

Skip the hardtop, and I guess you could pick up a decent NC1 for about 14-15. ECU maps apparently come included in the price from Cosworth too. You've been looking into this?

Chevy Sprint Turbo, I had a red one just like this with every RX-7 Turbo II part i could fit on it, wheels to the front mount. It was pretty quick too.
