Carpool question

If there is construction on a 5 lane highway, one that includes a carpool, and they close off two lanes. Does that mean the carpool lane becomes a regular lane?

I think it stays carpool unless they put up signs. Either way, I'd stay out of the carpool lane. Those tickets are huge.

Unless they close off all of the regular lanes, otherwise carpool lane stays carpool lane.
