You can tell alot buy just the first 3 characters...
WBA = bmw, WPO = porsche, 19U = acura etc...
The first character is always a country code of where the car is made (w=germany, 1 or 4 = USA)... the second is always the manufacturer code (B=bmw, P=porsche, 9=acura, H=honda, etc)...
A vin starting w/ 19 is an acura made in the usa, while a J9 is an acura made in japan...
I'm full of useless info like this...
