I'll go with a used Lexus. You can get some good ES deals if you go down to the early 2000's or mid 2000's. High miles is not an issue, trust me on that. It's an issue for BMW/AUDI obviously, but not for Lexus.
My friend's old Lexus is on her 250,000th mile and still purr like a kitten. Still drive like it's floating on water.
But if you can't get a used Lexus, I guess Miata is a cool little go cart.

I disagree about the old RX being boring, I think it looks classic and it definitely drives fun.
Can you believe this is a 2005 car? Vintage. Looks like something Audi came out with last year. Lol.
