Car Shipping Company Recommendations

Looking to ship a car from Missouri to California.

Can anyone recommend a good company?

Thanks in advance.

I can't recommend a specific company... however, I have bought and sold several vehicles the last few years... most of them from out of state. I used uShip.com for each transaction and have never had an issue.

I'd recommend checking them out...

I'd rather be recommended on first hand experience since Yelp sometimes has false profiles giving reviews to inflate the company ratings.

Buy a plane ticket and drive it home. No better way to get to know your car than spending several hours and thousands of miles in the hot seat.

Agree with JB; check out uShip...

We shipped the GP cross country from FL to CA with uShip; delivered as it was handed to them.

I want to thank everyone who suggested uShip.com! Huge success using them. I posted my listing and within 48 hours I had quotes ranging from $750-1300. I went with the lowest quote and the car was delivered within 4 days. I could have had it in 3 but I didn't want to stay up until midnight to meet the truck driver. I offered to go pick it up from his yard 20 miles from my home the next day (which was his day off), he agreed and I made a quick bike ride out of it. As expected, the car was filthy but otherwise it was perfect. The driver also helped me jump start the car because it was dead for some odd reason. Very smooth transaction through MoveWheels who subcontracted a driver from TES Transportation.

Thanks guys!

Yeah, those cars get filthy when they are transported. I usually meet the drivers at a nearby shopping center (about 3 miles up the road) b/c our neighborhood is very tight with a lot of overhanging trees. And funny enough my Tundra got delivered with a CTS-V (new one). Thought that was ironic.

Anyway... glad it worked out!

Yeah the plan was to meet him at a shopping center as well. The original delivery was set for my workplace in the afternoon. I asked for the drivers contact info and he said 8pm so I requested the shopping center near my place. I asked him for an ETA at 7pm and he said it would be 10pm. As 10pm approached, I asked for an update and he said midnight which was too late for me so I requested to pick it up from his yard the next day.

I was a nervous wreck when I saw the filthy car considering I bought it based on ~20 images and a telephone conversation regarding the condition of the car. Aside from a few rock chips on the front, the whole car is pristine for a car with 113k miles, even the engine bay is spotless.

^ Very cool!

I've had that happen before. I picked up the Porsche at 2am. If you go to my Porsche to CTS-V thread you can see the pics I took at like 2:30am when I got home. I was so excited I didn't want to wait

I got a boring car, wasn't as anxious to get it

A 2005 E320 CDI.

I was looking for an E55 or G8 GT for a few months. Then my A.D.D. kicked in and I was looking at TDI Jettas or a CDI/Bluetec E-Class simultaneously. I was much pickier while shopping for the E55/G8, they had to be white. No luck so I ended up with a heavily optioned CDI.

Then a few days later the unicorn I was looking for pops up a few miles from me 2006 E55 AMG Low Miles
