Hey I think it defitnally look WAY better with the polished lip. All black looks to dull. Its like you cant tell were the tire starts. I say go with polished lip. I dont know how the rim looks. My guess is, that its all flushed right? No lip at all? Hmmmm you got the name of the rims or maybe a bigger pic of just the rims?

By painting I hope you mean powdercoating. Its usually around $50 a wheel plus you have to pay to get the wheels off. Plus they will clear powdercoat so it looks shiney:
My suggestion:
Wait until you need new tires or you curb a rim. You WILL curb a rim if you get them powdercoated. Thats just the way it is. If it doesnt happen before you get new tires...do it then. That way you dont have to pay the extra mounting costs...of course you will be without the car at least 2 days.
I have a spare set of shitty 18s for that reason. Never know when you need em.
Get a tint in the meantime.

nah, gonna do metallic, cheapest I could find ceramic for was $350, most wanted 400+
Haven't decided how dark. Will probably do 10-15 on the back window and 25 or 35 on the sides. Don't want to deal w/ getting pulled over once a month like I did in the acura.

Sadly, I don't have any profile pics. And I don't have any of the truck with tint yet...I'd go take some but pointless with the rain today I had the same people do the truck that did the acura. So, its the same 3M tint. I just got the rear windows of the truck done at 5% so no one can see in it. Front two windows are the same 35% seen here.
But if its nice this weekend I'll try and couple pics of the truck...since its a burgundy color...all tint looks different on different colors.
Here are the Acura looked like:

it's not, it's 35. But since the rear is darker it doesn't let as much light in so while you are looking at it from the front you get the effect that it's darker
Plus, my interior is blac, so that darkens it up as well.
Job came out so good, we took Adriennes car in yesterday to get done as well. Even had them paint the Dot Matrix's on the rear window.
