It looks like to get any sort of time on the track you need to get a competition license, and to get a competition license you need to go to Performance Driving School. Anywho I just signed up to the BMW CCA NY Chapter being the owner of a Mini, I get my membership stuff in a week. I will call up Englishtown to find out if I went for any of those events if I need to have a competition license. But I think the beginner one does not require a license. I'll have to confirm..

[edit] I just looked up the location of that track the NJ chapter is hosting, it's about 130 miles away from me...Not so sure I want to drive that far for something like this..

for signing up. Most of the BMW CCA guys out here are really cool, despite any stereotypes about normal BMW owners

VIR is supposed to be an awesome track. I haven't been since I don't live on the East Coast. I do admit, though, that would be a PITA to get down there.
