im not sur e what im reading is that saying stock motor stock heads stock cams or...stock motor but worked heads ,worked cams which doesnt make sense i would have said heads,cams and left out stock motor...anyway thats not stock that i know for sure...i drive around with an '03 snake every night....so that car is basically a Z06,against a cobra that cant shift....

Hell, a stock Base C5 is as fast as an 03 Cobra due to the 600lb weight advantage and it didnt say if the Cobra was a coupe or vert. Anyways, a H/C/boltons LS1 C5 with a 6 speed is probably making about 425rwhp, so its not like a bolton Cobra is going to kill it. They both are probably making similar power but the Vette just has a ton less weight and looks like a better driver.

Sure you can run more boost with a bigger blower but that car doesnt have it. I DONT THINK FORD blows at all. Forged built block able to handle 1000hp STOCK with a blower all for 34k now thats a steal. If you want to go straight fast that car is the ticket.
1500 upgrades your making 450-475rwhp. Depending on pulley. (pulley,chip,intake,exhaust)
+another 500=500rwhp. Above plus ported stock supercharger.
OR
Dont do any of that just do boltons and a KENNE BELL(5k) and make 650+ to the tire on pump gas. Motor can handle it too..
I think ford did right...

btw, stock C5 w/ 3.42's and balding tires has been a lot of fun while my acura is in the body shop. I feel like such a dweeb driving w/ the top down though

My dad used to have a Vette vert...I loved driving that car....almost as much as my Cobra For real: The Vette/Z28/TAs respond so well to light head work and cam changes....that Vette in the video was fast as hell. I will say that the Cobra has more potential with less work than a Vette just because of the bottom end....everythig is forged and the motor can handle 1000hp all day!

These corvette guys have a cool community going on!
So i've been driving my dads C5 for the last 2 days and man it's great driving this car. Not even for the performance reasons, but everytime you pass a C5 on the road the owner waves. Pull up to a light next to one, the owner already has his window down ready to start a conversation. I try to do this w/ CL people, usually only fixed up ones and I never get any response.
