Tire isn't made in the size I need, so it's irrelevant.

205/70-15. I know I could oversize a bit, but I'm not going to with only replacing two. Four, absolutely.

Those are pretty narrow..

They have a wide range of choices for that size including Toyo Extensa A/S for $53 / tire. They're a 620 rating with 65k mile warranty and a comparable GT Altimax RT's for $52 / tire. Both are decent tires.

Store price match? Not my experience either.

I did a 4-tire swap once from Tire Rack - very good experience.

I also did a 4-tire swap at Costco - very good experience and reasonable $$

my local wal-mart sux! heard nothing but bad reviews. if they had the tires i wanted i'd buy them but never let them install

I did this with Town Fair Tire. They matched the tire rack price, plus shipping. I paid $20 more for each tire than Tire rack, but I got my wheels aligned, balanced and mounted.

Okay, I'm starting to think that going with 225 for two and 205 for two may not really be that bad.
