I see the lease idea as some type of business expense / tax write off. So This is understandable.

The OP seems to want something that would attract some interest with women. A Gremlin would work but not much of an attractor. Ha.

I say a Mercedes SL series, and use a few thousand bucks on some nice wheels. That should be within budget, or a 550i with extra on wheels. Just throw the OEM's in a garage and put them back on when you give it back.

To answer some questions:

I've gone into partnership w/ my best friend of about 15 years. Financially it's pretty lucrative. Without going into too much detail, we run several retail businesses/real estate deals in Manhattan and Long Island.

That being said, this is an addition to the 550i which I own.

To people who say I am pissing away money - well - I'm young - what am I saving it for? Old age? Retirement? Kids? I will have enough for that when the time comes. Enjoy life while you're in your prime.

My main use of money is to take care of my friends and family around me. After that is all said and done, the rest is for me to do what I want with it.

I still have my old 95 beater Maxima which is just sort of collecting dust, and if you guys in here can pick up tons of women with that car, more power to you! I know I have an easier time in the 550.

I thought the Porsche Panamera 4S for a second, but I just can't get over the looks.

Taxes/fees will be paid upfront.

And no way would I get a hummer. I had rented one in Miami and didn't care for it at all.

Btw, the reason I visit A-zine is because I think it has the most people on board and a very diverse bunch who are very down to earth.

I always get quick responses here. Sometimes very interesting opinions that would never have occurred to me otherwise.

Range Rover Sport Supercharged is what I'd try to lease for that amount. An RR HSE is over 6,000 lbs and may offer better business tax breaks also.

I thought about it - I do like it - but my friend has 3 of them and I'm welcome to borrow them at any time (which can be fun from time to time). I don't want to get something from his list which is:

2 bmw 650s (1 beater, 1 clean)
2 range rovers (1 beater, 1 clean)
1 RR supercharged
Lexus IS250

And of course a VW Passat for Mom.

I'm not on that level yet. (If you like something, why buy 1 when you can buy 2 at twice the price?)

I'll take pics of stuff when I get some time.

Maybe I should just buy my 3G TL-S back and call it a day.

you already have a BMW Sedan. it needs a brother, and if I were you, the last thing I would want is another sedan.

I'm not sure of the lease payments, but I would get a BMW M3 either E92 (the coupe) or E90 (the sedan). 414HP, sounds and looks great, and luxurious="girl magnet"

I would stick to BMW if I were you, pretty reliable and a driver's car...

M3 was actually my first choice (after the M5).

But the dealer told me it only comes in manual and SMG?

I am a lazy driver. I need auto.

Not sure. I should probably take it for a test drive. But I don't want to end up sitting in the driver's seat not knowing how to move the thing. (I can't drive stick)

Id def buy the new jag... it is GORGEOUS. Interior is simply amazing. But i agree, why buy another sedan? 550 is more than enough car, id buy a sportier car like a porsche or an suv.

C&D had a comparo, it went like this. 2011 550i - 3rd. 2011 Infiniti M - 2nd. 2010 Audi A6 - 1st. Funny how the only model that didnt get redesigned won.

If youre looking for chicks... i like the MB ML amg model or the MB GL550. We're looking at a GL450 ourselves.

I'm still confused why the 550i isn't your daily driver, then you don't have to worry about mileage and your 2nd car can be just that: a fun car to drive and impress the ladies. I'm assuming your tax write-off will be for whatever car you choose, regardless of when/where you drive it.

That being said, I say Porsche Cayman S any day of the week. Porsche starts the Cayman lease at $599/mo, obviously you build from there.

And dude, you're almost 30, you're not that young

The 550 is the daily. Hmm...

I will look into the Porsche for sure. I have to see which model is which.

I get confused with Cayman, Carrerra, 911..am I missing any? I know the GT3 is out of the budget.

MSRP on the car should be just under 100K.

911 = Carrera. It's the same car. There's also the Boxster if you're into convertibles and the brand new Cayenne that just came out.

I don't know how leases run on the quattroporte, but last I checked it is far from reliable. One person put it as "with the quattroporte you'll need gas every 300 miles, but a new transmission every 200 yards."

Thank you for all of the opinions. My head, while boil-free, has plenty of other things it's full of at the moment.

I'll update this thread with pics after I actually get the car. Should be another few weeks.

At least I have some nice options to think about now. Thank you all again.

The lease on the Quattroporte will be terrible because of the ridiculous depreciation of Maser's in general. If he's going that route, lease a low mileage Gran Turismo which has already taken the depreciation hit and call it a day.

997.2 Carrera's have 1.9% financing through Porsche Financial Services. Alternatively, with trunk money and dealer incentives, OP should be able to get 5-10% off 2010 Carrera's with the new 11s just around the corner.

However, the 998/991 iteration will be available in late 2011 as a 2012 model and this will severely affect resale value as well as cache of the current 997.2. Just something to keep in mind as the more affordable lease through PFS is typically over 48 months.

Or OP can just avoid the whole hassle and pay cold hard cash. Worked for me

One other thing, 30 is not that young. I'm a few years older than you and before I bought my 911, I was fully funding my 401K/pension. Just saying.

Well hell if he's TI with rubber band bank accounts than who the f-ck cares. Get a 599 GTO and call it a day, he can write off the $3000 monthly lease payments on that $400K badboy.

Best 1st quote Another useful tactic is to borrow (i.e. offer to babysit) your friend's infant and stroller for the afternoon and then plant yourself right in front of the Chanel/Louis Vuitton store. You'd be shocked at how easy it is to strike up conversations with hotties
