@NBP04TL4ME, fun list, the only one I find tempting is the S2000 with only 21,000 miles on the clock. Or course "tempting" is a relative term, by the time the gavel falls that thing will be well out of my price range.

That's basically where I'm at. E46 M3 and E90 M3... no point in trading the E90 for this, especially when I know the whole history of the E90.

Still, that was a pretty sick wagon.

That has to be one of the tamest looking RWB 911s I've seen.

This may be an unpopular opinion but, I just can't see why you'd cut into the fenders of a clean vintage Porsche to RWB-ify it.

Depends on why you'd buy ... but, if you wanted a car strictly for fun I wouldn't be scared buying a well-cared S2000 in the 80-120k miles mark ... they're stout and hold up very well.

They will also be about half the price, too.

Or...you know...a well cared for S2000 in the 50k mile range that gets parked for the winter and is about to go back on the market in a couple months...

Not for me but it is crazy money. Then again 10% is going to that scholarship fund

To celebrate the release of this model, ICON is partnering with Autotype to donate 10% of this truck’s sale price to their Emerging Designer Scholarship Fund, a scholarship program investing in tomorrow’s design leaders by supporting their education, providing mentorship, and giving them access to a collaborative community to field-test their ideas.

Damn that is crazy money. I am with you that it was a really cool swap and also looked rather well done too. The upgraded tech in it is also cool but still is already outdated. Can't believe it sold for more than a new CTS-V Wagon.

horseshoez - The S2000 went for $21K. I'm not in the market, but seems like it was fairly inexpensive. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2002-honda-s2000-42/

There is another one if it is of interest - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-honda-s2000-23/

Geez, I was guessing a lot higher for the one with 21,000 miles. Between then and now my wife and daughter discovered my 2019 bonus and went shopping. No more S2000 shopping for this year.

Too funny. That S2k is from the town I used to live in before I moved closer to the track. I'll actually be down that way tomorrow. Wonder if he'll bring it to our car show with a for sale sign

Curious to know where this one goes in terms of price since it's pretty close to what I have.

Yeah, I don't think the money lasted more than an hour or two after the direct deposit hit yesterday afternoon. By the time I got up today, poof, only enough left for me to buy the new Nikon I have my eye on.

I'm thinking to change my Direct Deposit so it goes to my Credit Union "Mad Money" account instead of the joint "Family" account. Won't make them too happy though.

Ouch man. Looks like they are real up on when that moolah hits. Gone in less than a day when the DD hits....now that's skill. I'm so impressed...not even that mad.

Maybe that's how they feel about us spending money on our cars.....

Kong Meng Vang, who also went by Steve, was a simple Oklahoma automotive enthusiast and owner of Vang’s Dyno Performance in Tulsa. He clearly had quite an affinity for JDM cars, having a number of rare 1990s performance oriented imports. Following his arrest in 2018 for possession with intent to distribute 1500 pounds of hydroponically grown California ganja, however, that collection was seized by U.S. Marshals, and is now scheduled to be auctioned to the public starting tomorrow.

In addition to forfeiting his collection of cars, his business, and seven additional residential properties, Vang faces a potential sentence of 40 years in federal prison. Some weed is legal to sell in Oklahoma, but obviously trafficking across state lines and unlicensed is still a huge federal offense.

You can see all 29 automotive auction listings with photographs here.

Jeff Gordon's Old C6 Corvette ZR1 Can Now Be Yours | GM Authority

Earlier this year, Jeff Gordon auctioned off his Corvette Z06 C7.R Edition to benefit the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation. The car, which was sold through Barrett-Jackson, raised $600,000 for the charity.

Gordon must have figured that sale was a success, because now he’s selling his C6 Corvette ZR1 to benefit his charity.

The four-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion’s C6 Corvette ZR1 was the fifth ZR1 built for the 2009 model year and one of 502 painted Cyber Gray. Gordon drove it just 815 miles in the 10 years or so that he owned it, so it’s definitely been well taken care of.

815 miles in 10 years?!

Looks like it was basically a nice charity+tax break item.
