I brought my 2003 CL for it's 30,000 mile service (it has 32,500 miles). They told me the rotors were warped and needed to be replaced. My warranty (4 years) is up on 10/31/06. They already did the work but I didn't know about this TSB until now. They are telling me it's not covered under the TSB and that only applies to cars less than 1 year old and under 10,000 miles. It doesn't specify that in the TSB and I told them that. The TSB only specifies in warranty as being approved for work. Check it out here:

How do I escalate this? I've already had the service guy talk to his manager and they repeated the same thing. But the bulletin clearly says within warranty the work should be done. How do I get Acura themselves involved?

tell them to show their piece of paper that says 1 yr and under 10K. It should be covered unfer the TSB. Is this the first time getting your rotors replaced by them? If so, tell them to chuck it and call it goodwill work. I had mine replaced at 15K no charge and I didn't even mention the TSB.

I had mine resurfaced under the TSB with new pads at 17K miles.

I make it till 22K before I had mine resurfaced... Been fine for the last 30K miles...

edit: Is this the CL members Cartalk thread ??

Didn't think there were that many more of us CL owners.

Thanks guys. I'll be asking for the 1 year / 10K in writing. If they don't have it I'll try going to Acura Client Relations.
