I can't wait until more companies start using SMGs.

looks like ass, but i dont doubt its performance. Also look at that low torque figure compared to Horse power. Reminds me of an indy engine.

I suspect that most of the peak will be availble at all RPM values. That, combined with the 7 gears, can easily make up for a lower peak torque value.

Got to agree the last generation just looked better.

I'd still rock this though.

I love it, but I’ll probably love the M6 even more since it will only have two doors.

Both have about the same chance of ever showing up parked in my garage though.

yea 383 torque, doesnt sound like much, but its the way the torque is utilized, The 7 speed tranny, allows shorter gears, and more room for utilzing the low torque, during every shift, also the torque band is probably very stable through evry gear and rpm.

BMW's arent exactly torque monsters,, like benz, b/c they dont have forced induction, but either way this car is hella fast claimed stats such as 0-124 in 12 seconds, which is supercar territory, with a sedan is more then enough

One more thing I like the e39 the best, I think the last BMW to look good is the current e46 3 series, now the designs thanks to the ingenious bangle , are to flashy and futuristic, and are straying away from the bmw roots. BMW was always conservative but sleek when it came to looks, b/c they wanted to please the drive not the people outside of the car, and I hate this new path they have chosen
