Question BMW heads up display

Since we have many BMW owners in here I have a question for you. Does anyone have a heads up display in their BMW or has anyone seen this option in a BMW?

I have never seen this in a BMW nor had I heard it was offered, I had alway felt this was sort of a "domestic" option. I currently have a fairly oddball BMW that could very well be a one of a kind vehicle in America. It's a 2006 530xi wagon SIX SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, with the sport package (amongst it's other packages) and it has a heads up display.

I'm not even a BMW fan but I freaking love this car (other than the 6 mile throw between gears). I have had a lot of seat time in high end manual transmission sports cars but after driving this one I have found my new favorite heel toe braking car. IMO the pedals are in the absolute perfect spot, FWIW, the car that previously held that spot was the Lotus Elise. I find a lot of humor that a purpose built track car could be beaten by a station wagon in this category.

I drove a M6 with this option. Gimmick IMO and somewhat washed in bright sunlight.

I believe the 5 and the 7 have this feature available along with all the M models. The 7 I drove had intelligent Heads Up which was pretty neat!

The head up display option isn't that rare. It's just only available in BMW's higher end lines like the 5-Series, 6-Series, 7-Series, X5, and X6.

You do have a rare wagon! Not many out there with a manual tranny and sports package, let alone with heads up display!

Get a short shifter and those throws will feel great!

The C6 Corvette heads up display (part of the 3LT package) kicks butt! It has a G-meter to test your turns and different track modes that change the tach/speedo. It was a bit odd to get used to at first but now I shift and watch my speed through it.

I've driven my friends 550GT with this option and it was great. Trippy at first but it gives you mph, navi, and lane departure. And its only visible from the driver seat.

It has more packages than that (basically the thing is loaded) I just don't remember the official BMW names of the packages.

Unfortunately, it's not really mine. I can hold the title in my hand and I can sell it but I'm doing everything in my power to convince myself not to own it. I'm hoping the urge will pass like when I lusted for a Jeep Wrangler back in the 90's.

I will make sure to drive it every few days to keep the brakes clean though

How do you have the title, but it not be yours?

One of co worker has both a 6 and a 7 series and he had never heard of it.

He's also about 70 years old though so I don't really rely on him for modern tech info.

If you have an iphone or android smart phone there is an app for that... it reflects on the windsheild while left on the dash
