Sorry but a majority of the lane-weaving, tailgating, tinted window, doing 85 in a 55 douchebags are now driving Audis.

I had some tool in a tinted out A4 almost side-swipe me on the freeway the other day and after I honked at him because he was inches from hitting me, he dove back over into the left lane. Then he almost took the back bumper off the Dodge van in front of him so he could dive in front of me and slam on his brakes to do 30 MPH down the freeway just to prove a point. I really need to get a dash cam.

I would agree that BMW drivers are pretty rude in general but I think they are generally decent drivers from a skill level. They get into trouble because they are not defensive drivers and they love to tailgate people. The tailgating is very annoying and probably explains the number of at-fault accidents they are involved in. Even BMW brakes won't save them if the driver is 5' off another's bumper.

There are other drivers I avoid like the plague: Saturn, Scion, Ford Ranger Pickups, Lexus RX, and Hummer. I'm OK with Prius and Leaf drivers as long as they don't hyper-mile in the diamond lane.

I think Jeep Wrangler drivers are pretty horrible. They drive like they have sports cars. Maybe it is over compensation.

Maybe BMW's terrible reliability record explains why 90% of them don't use their blinkers. Perhaps they are actually trying to use their blinkers, but can't because they are broken.

I see no correlation between makes/models and bad drivers. I see A LOT of Mexicans in the left lane going 5 under the speed limit, but there are a bunch of affluent white ladies who do it too here. I hate everyone who drives in Austin.

I got cut off twice yesterday by a State Trooper in an unmarked, untagged gold Impala. The first as he sped around me to get on the freeway, the second after he changed lanes 4 times to try and get around people. Asshole.

Me neither.

I've seen bad drivers in all kinds of cars and trucks here in LA-- it's scary at times.

When I see latinos/hispanics driving the speed limit when traffic is flowing faster, I jump to the conclusion that they are illegal immigrants trying not to get ticketed or have their vehicle impounded.

Nissan Rogue drivers are the worst. Driven by late 20s/early 30s midget women zooming around like chickens with their heads cut off.

BMW drivers are just a bunch of hypocrites. You cut them off and they lay on the horn/single finger salute/sauerkraut flyby/whatever. But when they cut you off and you flash the high beams they start crying "WHY IS EVERYONE SO JELLY"

I need to make a thread about this.

I saw a strange accident yesterday that involved a BMW 3 series and a Prius- that's a bad combination of drivers! Looked like the BMW driver was at fault with his front end damage and the Prius rear end damage. I'm at a loss what happened unless the BMW spun out because the BMW was facing 180 degrees from Prius front- strange.

I was driving our Nissan Leaf yesterday and really see the disrespect these cars get at the stop lights- nobody wants to get behind a Leaf. The Leaf puts a smile on my face flooring it and seeing BMW 328's need to merge to the right when they ASSUME they can beat a Nissan Leaf off the line. Leafs are pretty good in the 0-40 MPH range- the ultimate sleeper in the city.

Torque.

Same story with our CR-Z. 0 - 30, it's quite peppy. Then second gear is engaged and it kinda fizzles off..

Note to self: Finish the supercharger project

Do that a few more times then you will need a tow truck.

^Yikes, a front-wheel turbo 4-banger was comfortably staying with a BMW twice the 4-banger's cost. I'm sure the BMW driver was very agitated with the blasphemy of such a realization.

I would have gone 20 under the speed limit from there on.

Gotta love how he tries to brake check and the guy behind is still 5 car lengths away.

I'd pretty annoyed too if i was enjoying a drive and someone was behind me being somewhat aggressive.

Then again I would have just slowed down and let the guy go around me.

But, would you pull out in front of someone, and then cuss them out for following behind you?

On a daily basis, I don't see as many douchey BMW drivers as much as people are reporting here.

I mainly see house bunnies in their 6,000lb + urban assault flex-fuel vehicles flying through heavy traffic. Prius drivers aren't much better either.

Around me it does seem that some BMW drivers like to be an annoyance to me, but it isn't every single one. My friend has noticed that most Corolla S drivers are pretty horrible and I agree with him.

No matter how you slice it, dumb ass drivers come in all walks of life. And it doesn't
matter what car they drive.

I got that guy figured out.

Works in tech, has an Asian wife who married him because of his "masculinity" they hardly understand eachother when they speak, under water about 150k in his house, early 40s, two young kids who don't look like him. Angry at life and is a prick wherever he goes.

Typical Bay Area putz.
