I dont know guys, how can you tell anything from that video? It is shot at an angle that makes it almost impossible to tell, at least the divx version that I watched.

I watched it again. And well, maybe. You can see the Z take the lead and hold on to it. However, a roll start is always questionable. Whoever gets the jump, will likely hold on if most things are equal.

One of these days, one of these days. Especially, once I have a track worthy vehicle.

But to the topic.

The Z winning is not a suprised. However, I would like to see other races.

and is it just me or isn't the beemer slightly infront of the Z before they start? despite this, it seemed like they both floored it at the same time. by the end of 2nd the Z is ahead and by third its just walkin'

Not to mention who compresses with the best video codec then ZIPs the compressed file....

lol, bet it saved a whole 3-4k (actually I see it saved 150k on the one video)

I know! I was just thinking about that! cops aren't a worry. looks like the perfect place to race. Wonder if there are any places like that in the chicagoland area?

ROTFL!!! Where did you find a link to those vids?!?!

That's my 330Ci against Ryan's 350z (aka Geaux4it).

We decided to go from a roll when he hit that 50mph speed limit sign. (Being that I can't launch my car for shia, which there is another video showing me chirping then bogging horribly in 1st gear)

http://www.shiningarmor.cc/inprogress/Bnut.htm <- Click on 330Ci run, but don't laugh.

I can give you a first hand account of what happened.

The dust cloud you see is a good indication of how far ahead the Z was in 2nd gear. The dust is actually from a side street and was pretty even across the road.

I actually got a slight jump on Ryan in 1st gear and managed to stay about 1/4 car length ahead in 1st. In 2nd gear it was all over though. He pulled HARD on me in 2nd and in 3rd continued to walk away. When I shifted into 4th, he was a good 4-5 car lengths ahead of me when we both let up.

The 330Ci can't step to a 350z period. Granted Ryan is a much better driver than me, hence the reason we went from a roll, but I was shifting at 6,000 rpm's for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and I wasn't exactly granny shifting gears either.

You can hear the 350z chirp 3rd which Ryan did every time unless he missed a gear.

Both the 350z and G35 6speed have a strange dead spot at the upper portion of the clutch peddle travel.

Why can CL owners admit that CL its slower than 350z, G35, G35C, WRX, Maxima, Altima, 330ci and etc,.???

There's nothing wrong to be slow!!!!

If anyone is familiar with Baton Rouge, LA that's actually an industrial park off of Highway 1.

Its about a 2 mile straight stretch of cement road. I've never seen a better spot to do G-Tech runs or head to head races.

No I'm serious, where did you find them?

I've been able to back track them to this website: (From www.my350z.com)

http://www.dreamtrade.com/cgi-bin/ya...?board=motionr

Is that where you found them or someplace else?

Ryan does website stuff and if he didn't INTENTIONALLY mean for EVERYONE to be downloading these (ie someone just found the files on accident) I don't want him to get in trouble with one of his customers because people are sucking down insane amounts of bandwidth from that website.

However if he posted them on some other 350z message board for people to check out and its just spreading around, that's cool.

I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!
