Perhaps Water can take a part of his ten million dollar in assets he claims to have and purchase both, and then give us an unbiased evaluation of each.

I have to give Chevy and the Corvette team a lot of props. There aren't many cars (actually none that I can think of) that can come close to that performance for the $$$.

Corvette team get a from me

It's almost 300lbs lighter than the other two. Weight is one of the key challenges in building a well performing vehicle. This is why I hope Honda can keep the next NSX at no more than 3200lbs max even if they threw SH-AWD in it. Things like side air bags should be deleted from supercars. If you crash one you're pretty much toast anyway.

The Corvette is such a great performer in part due to it's lower weight, but also due to the engineering.

If Chevy would hire more "hot shot" engineers or put as much engineering resources into other cars(like the Cobalt, Impala, Avalanche,Silverado, HHR, and others) as they do the Vette the company would be AWESOME. I think Chevy views the Vette as their "baby" and they put all their "hot shot" engineers on it. and all their "okay " or crappy enginers get the other jobs.

You should write for Car and Driver

BTW i heart the Ford GT. Local guy has one and loves it but he says its not much of a daily driver since it overheats in traffic.

I would still totally rock one. (of course i love attention)

That's easier said than done, my friend.

The Corvette is successful because of its heritage and evolution through the years. The rest of the Bowtie line-up is nowhere near the greatness of the C6. It'll take more than a quick dose of engineering science to remedy Chevy's non-existent appeal to the educated driver.

To be a desirable automaker, there are no shortcuts to achieving that gold crown. It takes constant progression through time. Evolve or die, and be forced to start over and get lapped by the competition. Here is where Chevy needs to improve:
Build affordable cars to attract people. Then build quality cars to gain respect and retain those people. Finally build great performing cars to 'wow' more people with fatter wallets.
Still Chevy remains stuck on step one, building affordable cars. Doing that alone won't garner you praise or loyalty. If Chevy wants to become a proven automaker, next up is a quality Chevy car. And you need quality to convince buyers to then spend more on exciting cars, like the Z06 Vette, that will cost more to engineer.

i thought Chevy scrapped the "Blue Devil" not only due to cost that will be to consumers(i heard around 100 grand) plus GM is on hard times. anytime you build new models even if it's modifying or tweaking current models it takes more money and since GM BIG TIME in the red i thought they said "Forget it."
