I'm biased. I love the E28. But yes I do like the E39 a lot as well.
I also, really like the f10.
The e60, imo, does not fit in to the evolutionary design of the 5.
Kind of like the 2nd,3rd and 5th gen prelude look alike and follow an evolution, and then you have the steaming pile of 4th gen that so far from the prelude in and out...why bother
Plenty of people love the e60...so its just my opinion.

By the way, the car's owner in the OP's post should've stuck with a Lexus if he wanted to VIP something...

LOL, I'll have to step in a defend the e60 as I've just purchased a 550i Sport a short while ago. Yeah, it doesn't quite fit into the design timeline, but it's still a stunning looking car in my opinion. The new F10 is okay, but the same sausage, different lengths thing doesn't work for me when your $70K F10 looks like a $35K E90 from a distance. Or worse yet, your $100K F01 SWB looks like an $50K F10 from a distance. At least from a distance, you KNEW that E60 was an E60. It was the best-selling 5 series for some reason, eh?

Stage 1 Audi S5
While I would never do this to my car, I respect the work and it looks nice for a VIP style. The only thing I would change, think someone else mentioned it too, would be the exhaust. I agree with not doing an M5 look a like quad exhaust but maybe beef those tips up, they look so lost.
