Best TV Commercials? Nissan.
Every Altima and Maxima ad is good. I await to see the 350Z ones when they come out.
Some Lexus ads are good, like the GS one where the guy has to get out and catch his breath at the stop light. The IS300 ones are OK, but that car isn't sophisticated enough to play Kruder & Dorfmeister as the soundtrack.
Mercedes ones are great, but too playful. They need to have more of an edge, show it on the autobahn doing 140. BMW to a lesser extent, they're not bad.
Acura sucks. They're starting to get better with the RSX-S, but the CL and TL need to go. Clever, but they need more professional reckless driving.

Not that the commercials aren't witty, but everytime i see a VW commercial, the first thing i think of is "man, these cars are gay". No offense to any homosexual CL brothers ...just an immature and insensitive expression I've carried with me since 2nd grade. And Nissan? How can you not love the Altima freakin' spinnin with a cloud of dust at the end of those commercials? Oh well, anything is better than local car ads

My vote goes to Toyota for those Celica commercials, the ones were the car is parked and the cop comes flying in and the other when the dog runs outa the house and runs into the back of the car, they gave me a pretty good laugh.

Either VW or Nissan have the best...
Remember the Altima commercial with the army of birds trying to crap on the clean car By far the funniest car ad that I have ever seen
BMW also has had a few good ones, the "Driver loves the car loves the road" campaign when the E46 came out was very good. Sporty cars attacking twisting roads.

I like the old Nissan commercial with the 300ZX and the barbie doll and the Ken doll. THe barbie dolls ditched Ken's ferrari for the 300ZX. That was a classic Nissan commercial.

Anyone remember the Nissan commercial w/ the birds crapping on the cars like Top Gun? CLASSIC!
I swear I still get a stiffy when I see the maxima commercial drifting in the desert with "Wont get fooled again" blasting in the background.
VW is ok, Mitsu has good music but NISSAN gets my vote

speaking of commercials, does anyone know the song to the Saab convertible one? Where two girls pull ahead of a bus, stop on the side of the road, and then intentionally follow it again?

My favorite Nissan commercial is the one with the guy in the MAXIMA racing the sunset. He's parked on a loooonnnnnggggg straight road watching the sun creep to the horizon once in goes down it hit the gas and takes off. Stops to watch the sunset again. CLASSIC Nissan

I remember reading this awhile ago, and found the link on Google. #1 result returned on a 'gay cars' query. *snicker*

I second the Maxima ad with the car doing a slide with the plume of dust flying and Daltrey screaming.
Also the new ads for the Honda CRV that make fun of the "extreme sports" Nissan truck ads. Very clever, especially the one where the guy skateboards down the rocky hill and wipes out.
I love that crap.

Nobody remembers the red Porsche 944 crossed-up and powerdrifting slo-mo across the screen to Alice Cooper's "School's Out"? (1989)
Now that was the shit that totally fanned my fancy.

remeber the ad when the lexus introduced the sc400.
it was a car on the highway driving the camera had a rearveiw, it said "it will happen again tommorwo, he'll pull up behind you" (then a car pulled up close to the camera) "he'll flash you" (the car flashed the camera) "and then he'll pass you" (the car goes left and over takes the rear veiw camera) and the it says "arent you getting a little tired of him"
that was it no picture of the car just the lexus L.

That just reminded me of the commercials for the GS when it was redesigned, then won Motor Trend Import car of the year(?). How did the poem go?
All i remember was at the end they say "When something wicked this way comes"...it was dope as hell (plus a literary reference)

What about the Lexus 'Get Noticed' campaign? Where they had all those hotties sitting at a table, the lexus drives up and they pull a chair out for him? Nice.
