B12 Chemtool Aerosol Carb Cleaner

Earlier today, while buying some SuperTech ATF at Walmart, I bought a can of B12 Chemtool Aerosol Carb Cleaner.

I had meant to buy the CRC Throttle Body cleaner, but went back and exchanged it for the B12 at the last minute as I had heard good things before about B12.

I'm planning to use it to clean throttle bodies and EGR valves. Did I get the right stuff? Or should I go back and get the throttle body cleaner? I hope this B12 stuff was worth the money...as it costed three times the amount of the SuperTech brand.

They both serve the same purpose. You'll be fine.

the B12 is definitly strong. it wreaks when you spray it on, but gets the job done quicker than CRC. ive used both products while doing my intake manifold cleaning and port/polishing. the crc does a good job of cleaning dried liquids off the engine parts, but its not strong enough to clean off the older gunk thats been piled on for a while. the B12 does a good job to get everything.

you must take one precaution with the B12 though, its very strong and when you spray it too many times or too long on one specific place, the paint or color of that part starts fading. so try to just spray on a nice thin layer and wipe it right off.
