Average lifespan of aftermarket coilovers?????

OEM ones usually last around 70-100+ if im correct, but i was always wondering what was the average lifespan of aftermarket coilovers/shocks/struts/springs from reputable companies like TEIN or HR......i have HR coilovers on my car that have alot of miles on them, they were installed on the car in 2000 by the previous owner, so im guessing they could have more than 50k on them

should i be concerned about this?? anything to look out for? i really dont have the money to be tampering with this or replacing these coilovers.

The rest of the car will wear out long before the springs do. Don't sweat it.

He knows that... but I've always been curious on how long the strut cartiridge part of the coil over is gonna last...

<--- 55K miles stock and since the car is feeling more "floaty" then usual, it might be time for springs/struts.

From what I've read and discussed w/ a few suspension companies (looking for coilvers for my goat), most of the big companies recommend revalving anywhere from every 30-60K.

Hell I know of guys who rebuild their stock shocks. 4k for stock struts is reason for people to get creative in terms of new suspensions.

My Tein HA's have about 40k on them and they still feel and work perfectly; includes many road course track days, too. I just read in another thread on another forum that they can be rebuilt for just over about $100 each if it's just normal wear and tear. Here's the link to Tein's "overhaul" prices: http://www.tein.com/overhaul.html
