At the auto show I found the GTi to just be a nicer car allround than the Si. Had the same impression when I got in a base RSX vs the Si. Also thought the 05 RSX exterior was sharper looking car than the Si. It is what it is I guess.

As much as I wanted to like the SI, I just can't. My TSX is going bye bye soon and the GTI is the only car tripping my trigger at the moment. The under thirty g trigger that is.

The Mk5 GTI is awesome, test drove it last week and was slobbering all over the 6MT shifter. This is a HUGE leap from the mk3 GTI I had before my TSX.
I may wait for the R36 to hit the US, but there is no way in hell I'd pay an estimated 32~35k for a fully-loaded VW hatchback.
