Yes, I am. Why pay $25k just for a fucking drivetrain?

The car weighs 3,700 lbs & has no options & looks like it should be called Cavalier SS.
Coming from a GTP owner. They cost the same with less hp/tq too.

A dealer by my house is selling one for 23,995. Also, for 4 grand you can get an STS remote mount turbo with front mount Intercooler, installed and tuned, and make 550 hp and like 595 lb ft of tq.

I paid nowhere near $25k for my car.

You realize it's not always just about hp/tq numbers right?

Come back when you're educated.

Educated??? I meant new price for a car. Sure you can wait a few years and get a GTO for nowhere near it's cost. The GTO runs a faster 1/4 mile stock, RWD, and sits 4 people even though it's a coupe. So what else is there other than the hp/tq numbers?

A GTP is a drivetrain with doors. Oh my bad, 2 doors more. I forgot what a luxury ride it was. THat's why you're crying in that other thread about getting a TL and dumping your GTP. Sorry I had to help you with how the real world works and buying a house since you have no idea what the hell is going.

Look who's educated now you

What's a remote mount turbo? Also is the $24K price for an ls1 or ls2?

they are nice, but GTO is no where near the RX-7, supra and NSX in overall performance.

the FTO is ok, but again, their direct competitor = integra is way too better than FTO in many ways.

the styling is cool, but nowhere near great

The point I'm making is that Corvettes sell like hotcakes with the same drivetrain and not many more options for $45K. So obviously the GTO has SOME worth since it shares such important components with the Vette. I'm pointing out that according to your logic the Vette is worthless as well, which really would put you in the loony bin. With a sub-5-second 0-60 time, the GTO is like getting a Vette with 4 seats..for $20K less. If that's not worth $25K, I'd hate to see how YOU would price cars. No disrespect, but your point is illogical. Compare what else you could get for $25K and tell me there are better performance bargains in that realm. Nothing else measures up.

If all you wanna do is go fast in a straight line buy your fucking GTO.

The vette has a lot more options than the GTO. The GTO has no fucking options. Power win/locks/mirrors like every other car wow!!!

Guess this is why they call you "Loco"?
http://www.pontiac.com/grandprix/per...next_popup.jsp

According to the Pontiac data linked above the GTO, Mustang and Grand Prix have nearly identical SLALOM speeds! *GASP* That pretty much throws your "straight line" theory out the window, unless you agree that your *own* car can't handle. I'm not sure precisely what you have against the GTO, but strangely it's not supported by reality and facts.

I think the 1 second difference in the track time also determines the GTO is a better performer if comparing GTO to Grand Prix.

The one they are selling is an LS1 car with a ram air hood. Google STS Turbo and you will find out what it is. It seems like an odd mod, but it has proven itself time and time again.

That's the turbo under the car. We were looking at it for the Accord but V6P didn't work out a deal with them.
