Another "Quebecer" that leads another German caramaker styling department

.... or German styling ... by America.

About 8-10 years ago, there was Dany Garand at Audi who designed the A8 2004, the Q7 and the first A1. Actually focusing on A1, next A3 & TT.

Now at BMW, meet Karim Habib, who took over Bangle. If I got it right, he was in charge for the current 7-series.

It is an interesting trivial fact that chief designers for those top German cars come from here. I didn't ask for your approval or your interest, which I couldn't care less. If you see something that you are not interested (some will be), just *pass*.

This doesn't deserve it own thread. It should be moved to one of the bmw threads to which this info corresponds.

Whether you care or not is for the birds.

and who give a shit if he's from Quebec? or anywhere from that matter? As long as he designs nice cars and is successful, he'll make it to the big leagues.

Well, some sort of. More like a curiosity. I am rather fascinated than proud of this trivial fact. Also, Ralph Gilles, the current chief designer of Chrysler, was raised at Montreal.

I'm curious about a lot of stuff but I don't make threads about it

I'm sure Chrysler or Audi didn't say, "We need a new designer and he HAS to be from Canada. Everyone else is trash."

I think it's a pure coincidence and nothing more than that.

Ralph Gilles is also the former CEO of Dodge and current CEO of the SRT brand, while retaining his design position...if you're going to list facts.
