Wow, thats beyond horrible. It looks like JB Weld. Why in the world would you weld your turbo?

wouldn't it throw the turbo "out of balance" due to uneven weight on the fins?
besides why do you weld on turbo fins to begin with?

he's a conceptual guy, but he needs a technician to implement his ideas, aka the idea seems valid to me but the welding sucks

Uh, yeah. Somebody needs to explain to this guy what the moment of inertia is for a few grams of stainless twirling at 50,000 RPM.

Read the thread... apparently it works, he has a video too, but their is the sound of the bearings dying in the vid.

Even if his welding job was perfect, those things are super precisely balanced.
