American Dodge tries to be like Japan (SRT4)
Check out this car
does it remind you of anything? It seems like dodge is trying to copy lancer/wrx

(let alone the name of the car is very 'import like' as its a bunch of numbers and letters)

You're just now finding out about the SRT-4's? They've been out for a minute, and while stock for stock they cannot hang with an Evo or STi, those things will eat up almost any car under $30k stock. At the end of the day its still a neon though.

SRT-4 stock can walk an EVO from a highway race, I know cause I've raced two stock EVO's in my nephew's SRT-4 that was stock at the time and both the EVO owners are his friends. But from a dig the EVO's will own a stock SRT-4 in the 1/4 mile though.
SRT-4's are very underrated in terms of HP and torque. Stock they dyno at around 230HP and 250lb-ft of torque at the wheels. And they have so much potential, you can get up to 300WHP with the stock turbo with Stage 1 or 2, WGA, MBC, CAI, DP, exhaust, and a larger FMIC. Or you can go a step further and add a bigger turbo, larger injectors, fuel pump, etc. and get 350 to 450WHP and all this with the stock internals. You could go more but it gets out of hand with all that power going to the front tires. As far as speed goes in the 1/4 mile they run anywhere from 13.8 to 14.1 @ 100 to 103MPH stock. C&D ran 0-60 in 5.3s and 13.9s @ 103 MPH in the 1/4 mile. Yea it's a Neon but they really are fun little cars for about $21K.
