Nice! I miss my 6th gen.. got the 3G Type S and sister got my Accord. I had the v6 so it was a little peppier (albeit also inherited the crappy transmission). Luckily still on the original though so knocking on wood.
Any other future mods to it? Lighting: headlight retrofits, etc?

Yes, thanks for reminding me! I do really want a pair of projector HIDs. Did some research on retrofitting Morimoto Mini H1s and it looks stupid easy (no dremel or trimming required). Sometime this summer I'll take apart the headlights again and clean them up.

Small update:
The old girl has been getting older. Not much has really changed. I've been keeping on top of maintenance and repairs as they come up, but anything not related to keeping it running has taken a backseat. I finally put the summer wheels back on the other day. Much nicer than how it's been looking all winter:
Learned how to do a timing belt on this car. Took 3 sockets and 2 extensions to get that crank bolt off. Was a good learning experience though. I've been through a number of motor mounts and brake pads, two rear calipers, front sway bar endlinks, and I'm sure I'm missing plenty.
Also got stranded for the first time ever.
The culprit? Snapped axle
This is apparently not a super rare problem. These CVs can develop cracks. You can see where dirt and rust were in the existing crack, and the fresh exposed metal where it snapped.
I spend a lot of time here...
When I got this car, the goal was to take it to graduation, which is only a few months away. Plan now is to avoid paying for a new car as long as possible. Overall I'm happy with this purchase. I would love to get two more years out of it. As it sits I see no reason it won't go another year at least.

Forgot I posted in here almost 2 years ago 
Came in, saw the 6GA and started getting nostalgic about my car.. Since my sister inherited it, it really became a beater, she overheated it once, she killed the transmission, bumps and scratches everywhere, catalytic converter got stolen...
Now it's sitting in my backyard on stands because I'm retiring her. Gonna use the car as a guinea pig to tear down a J-series engine so I can practice timing belt changes.
If you haven't done those headlights yet, I may throw some mini H1's on a pair of headlights soon to part out. If you need any other parts from it, LMK!

keep it as long as you could after you graduate, but just be prepared to get a new /used car if something breaks again that costs as much as your car.
But since it is a Honda, there are plenty of aftermarket and used parts if you want to keep it forever

I've never seen an axle snapped like that, just driving normally the road...

Was there a damper on that axle where it snapped? I've seen multiple threads of water pooling and rusting where the damper sits and the axle eventually snaps at a similar location.

Dang, those are great cars!
I had a '98 coupe that I bought cheap, and put a bunch of trouble free miles on.
Sold it to my sis for her kids to drive.
After two teenage nephews, it's still on the road even after a toasted transmission (really think it was due to abuse and a lack of maintenance) and being totaled (nephew #2 was rear ended).
Even after buying it back and putting it back together (junk yard front end), there was enough money left from insurance to cover the rebuilt transmission that was put in just a couple months before the wreck.

End of another chapter for me.
The clutch line burst coming home from school about 3 weeks ago. It was the last 2 weeks of the school semester, so I let it sit and drove the Passat. Then it refused to start. I think it's a fueling issue.
Anyway, it had some other ongoing issues that meant I couldn't justify putting money into it. It leaked fuel and power steering fluid (that's what you see), and oil from the cam and crank seals. Was going to need brake lines soon as well. I didn't enjoy working on it anymore, and can't afford a decrease in reliability.
233k. We missed our goal of taking it to graduation but can I really complain? My new friend Anatoly picked it up for scrap about 30 minutes ago.

Lol, I wish, J. That Mustang is a friend's car that needed new end links. I'm car shopping right now. It's going to be another (newer) beater, basically something to get me the extra couple of years I was hoping to get from the Accord. Still trying to avoid a car payment.

It's about as close to loaded as this year gets. Proximity key and push button start, Bluetooth, voice commands, dual A/C, auto headlights and wipers, Bose audio, 18-inch wheels, HIDs and LED tails. I know it's common stock on a lot of new cars today, but it's great. I love it.
I am super excited about this car. Never had something with this level of convenience features. The proximity key is great since I park in an underground garage. I usually need to have two sets of keys, one with the car key in the ignition, and another with the garage fob to let me in and out. As much as I loved the Accord, it left me wanting for little things like steering wheel controls, auto AC, etc.
It's big, which I like in a DD. I typically drive with the seat all the way back, and the backseat has plenty of space:
My priorities were similar to when I shopped the Accord. Something with decent space, reliable, good fuel economy, and not a total bore to drive. I wanted a newer car this time around, and though I'd be relegated to Civics and Mazda3s. This was the nicest car I looked at, both in terms of features and condition, and I wanted it.

I'm the designated chauffeur for the family. When we went on a road trip recently my mom didn't understand why I chose a Mazda 6 as a rental. Wish it were a manual like yours though
